Marieme D Hair

Marieme has been my hair dresser for over 20 years (WOW) and have never had a complaint. She now does my daughters hair. Her and her team are hair magicians.

I received my first silk press treatment here, last week, with Desiree. She had meticulous, thorough technique and ensured I felt comfortable when discussing trimming options and hair maintenance. Excellent service. If I wasn't moving out of the country, this would be my go-to salon.

I have been searching all over for a black hair salon to take care of my natural hair. After a few google searches, I stumbled on this one and decided to give it a try because it had such stellar reviews. I was NOT disappointed.Upon entry, I was greeted warmly by the owner and other staff and was also offered a beverage. The place was very clean and organised which was a huge plus for me.The owner (Marieme) did a hair strand test in order to give a proper diagnosis and treatment plan for my hair which let me know right off the bat that she knows her stuff. She was very informative and enlightened me a bit more about my hair and what would work for it.I had my hair washed, treated and trimmed and it was a great experience from start to finish. My scalp felt amazing and hair was very soft afterwards.The staff were extremely professional and friendly. It wasn't like other salons that I have visited where there is so much gossip that leaves you feeling very awkward.All in all, I was thoroughly impressed and will be returning soon.

I booked a hair cut at Marieme D Hair after a recommendation from a friend and honestly I loved my experience. I had Clodagh, who was so friendly, knowledgeable and so chatty - she was so attentive and made me feel welcome. What was also lovely was the friendly feel in the salon - every hairdresser was talking to clients which is an absolute rarity in the Afro hair salon market (and is something that all Afro hair salons really should aspire to), was offered refreshments and actually got my hair done within a couple of hours and wasn’t left waiting. It felt very professional. Have rebooked for a keratin treatment next (also with Clodagh) and I know I’ll enjoy it again. Thank you for my lovely hair cut and straighten!

My first time at the salon and I'm more than impressed I had such amazing service!! I don’t even know where to start because I have sooo many positive things to say about this place :)! In a nutshell, to have this salon in South Woodford is an absolute GODSEND. For years and years, I’dbeen looking for a place that really caters to the needs of my hair, makes me feel welcomed and recommends the best tips and treatment options.BIG SHOUTOUT to all of the staff, they are incredibly talented, patient, personable and just a joy to be around with. I went into the salon not knowing what the result would be, and to my surprise the results were A M A Z I N G! I left with a big smile on my face, and my hair just looked so healthy, shiny and well cared for. Now I understand why they’re always booked out! Plus,the music in here is groovy too ;)I’d like to give a big big big thank you to Cloda / Clodagh (sorry if I spelt your name wrong girl) because she really paid attention to my hair care needs, you can tell that she is very passionate about her job, she is very engaging and conversational.Here are the two treatments that I done: Natural Wash Straightening and the Philip Kingsley treatment.I really enjoyed our talks and couldn’t stop giggling :) because I was having so much fun.
