This place is fantastic. The staff and friendly and outgoing and no what they're talking about. There is a vast and varied collection of fish species, tanks and filters. The pricing is fair and I would recommed this shop to anyone interested in fish keeping

First time visiting got loads of info on Marine fish. My kids loved having a look. Once my tanks ready for fish I'll be back.

Whatever you do don't come here! Woman that manages the place is the most rude, obnoxious, arrogant, smug sales assistant I've ever had the misfortune to come across. Did her best not to let me get a single word in, when I did she either completely ignored what I said or talked over me very loudly. I was given advice and knowledge by a professional elsewhere, according to her bloated ego he was wrong and she was right. Kept on talking and talking, repeatedly pointing products out on the nearby shelves which I simply had to have. Told her I had an infrared thermometer to keep an eye on the ambient temp. as well as the water temp. Actually had the gall to say it's a nice toy but all i needed was a strip thermometer(which I have),and of course the kind on a dial which she promptly plucked off the shelf and waved at me! Kept on and on about fish even though I started the conversation by telling her I didn't keep fish. 100% only interested in selling things and listening to the sound of her own voice. Completely ignored another customer as she continued making noise in my direction. One good thing I learned was, never to go here again. Would liked to have given less of a rating but unfortunately can't.

I'm rating this 1 star simply because of the lady who seems to run this place. Shes very obnoxious and keeps on saying how much she thinks the fish are gonna die in your tank. I was being helped by a guy, who was brilliant by the way, but she just had to keep interrupting him and getting her negative opinions in. I would give this place a 5 if I had only been dealing with the guy that day. ( By the way, message to the sales man, the Siamese fighting fish you sold me it's very happy and healthy )

The staffs are nice and friendly. I can see they are very passionate with fishkeeping. Just like in many hobby, there's only very few golden rules and disagreements ought to happen. I do believe they are genuinely try to help their customers and more importantly, the wellbeing of the fish. Some people say the prices of the item here are expensive, I would say the prices for many of the items are the same for all Fishkeeper Scotland retails. If you are new to the hobby and you don't know where to start, this is a great place to start where you can ask the experienced. If you want cheap stuff, buy online, no other local fish stores that offer a lot of varieties compare to them (unless you are willing to drive all the way to Riverside Aquatics which is in Livingston).

It's a bit a more expensive than other places but the staff a very approachable and friendly and, more importantly, they are very knowledgeable and helpful. The stock all looks good and very healthy. Got these two here

Very well stocked, got beautiful platies and guppies from here but they always seem to have a large variety of fish. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff with any enquiry I've had (one even gave me a good demo on how to clean my tank gravel better). Prices easily comparable to online prices on most things.

Great and honest shop, with very knowledgeable staff, don't be upset if they refuse a sell, as the fish are their main concern, so if you don't have the right environment for the fish you want, you may be refused the purchase. I've learn loads with Nicole and Nicole, I would recommend Fishkeeper to any aquamarine enthusiast.

I have been a long time lurker first time customer. Having recently started a tank mid-December I have decided to use Fishkeeper as my sole stockist. They have a super friendly damenour, huge amounts of knowledge, are friendly and approachable and I have never seen a dead fish let alone stock that they didn't have. All of the staff are a pleasure to deal with, they listen and provide feedback on a professional level and always seemingly have time for you no matter how big or small the query. I would highly recommend this shop for beginners through to intermediate fish keepers. Genuinly. Also, for anything you may need that they don't have, just ask, it can be ordered. Ignore the grumpy old know it alls on here and try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Can't wait to go back and get more little faces for my tank. Special thanks to all the staff for everything.

Visited this morning and was surprised at how big it was. They had an extensive range of fish and stuff to go with the fish. But was most impressed with the quality of the fish and range of Cory's, tetras, plecos, marine and cold water. They also had some amazing larger specimens which showed they knew what they were doing. Riverside aquatics is my current favourite fish store but I thought this shop was equally as good with a larger selection. Also felt the fish for sale were older which I liked as sometimes it feels like they're selling too young fish. Well done.
