The Pines Surgery

So far rubbishLeft my old surgery as I've been refused to see a doctor for nearly 2 years. I have a number of quite serious health issues. And I went into the surgery today to make an appointment. Receptionist took Mt name D.O.B and said doctor would ring me. Within 2 min a nurse rang me asked why I wanted to see a doctor. I gave her some of my symptoms.and said I felt really ill.but she just asked if that was all? I explained again that I felt very ill and worried. And she didn't seem at all compassionate or bothered that I was stressed and worried. All she said was the doctor will ring me?The thing is how many people is this happening to? And how many people are dying or have serious ollnesses

Honestly I have never seen a more ridiculous place than this! Doctors have always been great but Jesus the manager is rude so are the rest of the receptionists etc. The amount of issues we’ve had with them it’s insane. And to top it off the so called manager has the audacity to sent me a letter for missing my poorly child’s appointment. Bear in mind I tried to call them over 20 times and advise he is poorly. People like the so called practice manager should not be allowed to work with people. Where do they get the horrible attitude I will never comprehend. Fair to say we are looking for a new surgery. I would suggest anyone looking to register there stay well clear of this place.

I have only positive things to say about this surgery. They have seen me quite a few times quickly and are always extremely helpful. The staff are friendly and kind, and have always been extremely patient when my children have attended appointments there as well.

Have been a patient here for about 30 years with no real problems. Doctors, nurses and staff always helpful and friendly. Sometimes the phones are very busy but surely you can't be surprised by that!.

Lucky they even got 1 star. My little boy is very unwell with a suspected chest infection. Conjunctivitis and had blood come from his nose. The surgery said they would call back. My partner hadto then call back 3 hrs later. They put it down to short staff. I'm sorry but u don't ignore a small child. Surely priority. This isn't the 1st time the staff at that place have been useless. They have messed up my partners prescriptions. Forgot to call her back with info they promised to pass on. Prescribed her the wrong medication. Security forgot to make notes of a phone call My partner made. I could go on. That lot belong in a circus. A danger to the public also

Such a poor surgery. One particular receptionist is so incredibly curt and rude - such poor personal skills for such a personal role. The surgery has long wait times on routine checks for swabs/bloods and to get to talk or see a GP is a constant battle! Look elsewhere for a surgery that actually listen and take your health seriously with haste and care.

My one year old developed some worrying symptoms at 6.00pm the evening before Christmas Eve. Called the surgery on the off chance they were still open. Not only did they manage to squeeze us in for a face-to-face appointment, whilst we were in the appointment they checked with the pharmacy to make sure the type of antibiotics they were prescribing were in stock, and made sure we got them before they closed for Christmas. Both the doctor and receptionist went above and beyond, and their approach meant we didn’t spend Christmas in hospital. So appreciative of this doctor’s surgery!

Fantastic surgery, all the staff are so kind and understanding. I feel that my opinion and instinct is taken seriously in both my own and my toddlers care. Yes, you may have to wait in a queue on the phone at times, you may not be able to get an appointment with a particular doctor immediately, but that just is not the world we live in any more. When I fell over in the garden recently and damaged myself I was shown nothing but kindness and consideration. Both Doctors and Nurses were very attentive and helped me get better with dressing my wound and giving me good advice.

I have been a patient at this surgery since moving to the area about 10 years ago. I'm quite fortunate in the sense that I haven't had to make many visits but every time I have they've been spot on. My little one is nearly 5 and has visited a few times and they have always been incredible when he's been concerned. Just before Christmas we thought he had an ear infection, within 1 hour of a phone call we had antibiotics in hand. That level of service is just outstanding. On my most recent visit I spent some time observing the receptionist because she is just amazing. So efficient and helpful. A real credit to the surgery! I'm not sure if I'm just incredibly lucky or if some of the negative reviews are a result of people's expectations but I think this is a wonderful surgery. Always clean and tidy too which is really impressive considering the age of the building.
