Nipped in the studio, after work . Danielle did my refit to the sides. It’s perfect. Can’t believe how much my hair has grown. No damage what so ever to my hair. Amazing stylist. Thank you so much ❤️

Went to get my hair coloured and a hair extension consult today with Miah, booked my appointment for 3pm and travelled 35 minutes each way to get there. I was left sitting for an hour an a half with no start on my hair. At half four, I was asked did I want to reschedule my hair for the next day. I am in work 6 days a week, therefore I ended up spending my only day off in this salon and obviously could not rechesdule to waste more of my time waiting or travelling the next day.I understand hairdressers can run behind, but it was so unprofessional that I had sat for an hour and a half, to then have to get up and leave infront of all their other customers to get my deposit back that I had paid.The most unprofessional service I have ever experienced. I am not one to leave a review or run down any business as the girls work looks amazing, but it was the way the situation was handled.

I booked an appointment for an assessment for hair extensions. The young assistant was with a client and asked me to wait until her manager could see me. She chatted on her phone in full view of me for some 10minsbefore attending to me.She assessed my hair and told me she would work out a price and contact me.Some 5 days later and three phone calls plus two messages I have still not received a quote.What a complete waste of time. This place is not a business they are a joke. Obviously don't need customers.Dont waste your time going here. They are not interested. Very unprofessional. I suppose it was better to find out now before they were let loose on my hair

I will start by saying if I could give less than 1 star I would. I have been to dolly birds many times since it has opened and had my hair done by Miah, it’s always been pricey considering the age and experience but I have been happy with my hair so I didn’t mind paying the price. Not long after the hairdressers reopened I went in and asked for Icey blonde (something I had been building up-to for a long time). For a star the salon was overcrowded with 4 chairs in front of the mirrors they also had people just sat in the middle of the salon having their hair done. There was around 7 people in at once and just 2 hairdressers doing everyone’s hair. I had Miah and another really young girl doing my hair in bits because they were clearly overstretched. I would normally have olaplex in my hair to help repair it after bleach, but the young girl was told to wash my hair and never applied the treatment (at one point even started brushing my hair with bleach in it). I was then left with soaking wet hair for around 45 minutes. My hair was so severely damaged by the end that nobody even brushed through my hair before or after blowdrying. The colour was awful and patchy yet I was charged £200 for it. It was clear they were trying to get as many people as possible in and out with no care for the actual work. The following day I raised concerns with the manager and she asked me to come in which I did, she told me it was an ‘optical illusion’ that’s why my hair looked the way it did and suggested to wash it. I couldn’t even brush my hair without it coming out and breaking, to the point I couldn’t run my fingers through it. I ended up buying a bottle of olaplex myself to try and repair the damage, when I informed the manager of this I was met with a barrage of messages you would not expect from a business owner. It got to the point that I just wanted a refund of the cost it was going to be for me to have it fixed but at this point I was ignored and have since spent more money in an attempt to rectify the mess I was left with. I was always polite and just wanted to sort it out but the same can’t be said for the salon. I will never be going back to this salon and would not recommend it to anyone ever.

I have been coming to Dolly Bird for 3 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else, I love this place. It’s not just a ‘getting my hair done day’ I actually get excited for my appointment because it’s such a nice environment and Elle and Katie are simply the best! I have never come to my appointment and not got what I asked for. It takes a lot to trust someone with your hair and I found it in them both! I ALWAYS get compliments on my hair and I would recommend to anyone to go to Dolly Bird!
