Hopscotch

Considering it as a soft play space it’s brilliant and the service was outstanding and helpful! The ambience is much more zen than those terribly colourful soft plays that give one a headache. Food wise, it was average but then again I didn’t come for the food therefore I was satisfied with the experience. The online booking was a tad confusing to be honest but the lady I spoke to on arrival sorted it out no problem and it was all fine afterward :)

The most perfectly designed play cafe. It’s beautifully decorated with immaculate play equipment, friendly staff and it has a fantastic and varied menu alongside great coffee. A fab addition to Gosforth high street.

The concept is great, Melissa delivered fabulous service and was, so attentive. The menu looks great, but I must say the taste of the food didn't live up to it. It was a little bland and we were disappointed with the quality. Such a shame as it's a great place for the children

First ever Dad review I’ve done as this deserves one. My lass was in a mood in the morning because I was late back from work and I accidentally forgot to leave her the car seat so she was stuck at home all day so I had to get back in the good books.Saw this place on a friends insta story and thought I’d check it out. Got to the car park in Gosforth then found out I had to book which I hadn’t so phoned up and told them the crack and they were more than happy to save us a table. Upon arrival we were nicely greeted and shown to our table and given menus.To my utter delight there was a mint menu featuring a steak sandwich with blue cheese which was lush and blown away by the fact that they sold beer. Absolute game changer. My lass had soup and mac and cheese bites which she said were lush too.Wor kid had a great time in the play area which is super cool and different and she had a great time.Staff were proper canny and left the gaff with me and me lass speaking again.Cheers Hopscotch , I’ll be back

This is not a negative review, but purely my experience. Lovely decor and design. Really nice play areas with a great variety for little ones. Couldn't fault that side. However, I placed a food order for me and my son (2 years old) after a considerable wait, turned out the order hadn't been sent to the kitchen. Ended up having to dash home with it boxed, quickly feed little one, and then attempt to get him to sleep.Mistakes happen. We're all human. But the stress caused did frustrate me a tad, and slightly sour what had been a good visit. Not ruling out another visit in the future, but will make us think twice.As an aside was briefly offered a complimentary coffee, but of course had to run (nap time). Would have appreciated a refund on my son's food - as the poor lad had to eat it lukewarm at home.Teething problems hopefully - wishing the business all the best.

Beautiful soft play for preschoolers and gorgeously plated food and lovely local roasted coffee. Every thought and care has been put into this place..very special and a gem for the high street.

I’d like to be clear that if I was reviewing based on the soft play itself (And the coffee!) this would be a five-star review. But unfortunately the food is really disappointing.The soft play is lovely for smaller children - our daughter is 2 and it’s the perfect size for her to explore on her own, nice and comfy for you to sit in with them or you can sit at your table and have a cocktail (Also a high point!) if your child is more confident. And so nice that it’s open on evenings as there are so few places to take children on a night time.But the bad part - the food, the first time we visited we had the avocado toast and the Tofu Scramble. Both were very bland, the tofu scramble was a smooth paste (?) which was very weird, and the avocado was pretty much unseasoned except for a bit of chilli. On our second visit for dinner we tried the Chickpea and tempura veg grazing board, which was also a bit weird, the tempura veg seemed to be completely lacking the tempura, basically just boiled veg. The rest was also a bit bland and an odd combo of foods (Hummus and Soy sauce?). Overall the food is pricey and marketed as a bit higher end, but everything is very mediocre. It’s a shame as our daughter loves the soft play, but until the food improves we will most likely be sticking to coffee and cake.

Great location, however the food and drink is massively over priced. Also a few concerns over soft drinks being served in glass bottles, and no access into the climbing structure for adults.Due to there not being set slots the toys are tidied up whilst the children are still playing.
