Patisserie Valerie - Cheshire Oaks
Myself and a group of friends had some tea and cakes on the 26th Nov. The cakes were lovely and the service was great. We were heading back to the airport but asked if we could leave our suitcases in the bakery to have a quick look around the shops. We spoke with Brooke who was very accommodating and helped us out along with her colleagues. Once we returned we asked Brooke where would the best place to get a taxi. Brooke kindly offered to ring us a taxi to the airport. Brooke even brought us to the taxi driver as he was a little lost with our location. I would highly recommend this place for accomadating/kind staff and nice food. Thanks a mill Brooke and team :)

Really poor service, the girl on the cashier desk had no concept of service with a smile. The staff in general had no sense of customer service and were all stand offish. The restaurant itself was very messy and it wasn't busy but no one was keeping on top of the cleanliness. Our afternoon tea was sat on the side for at least 15 minutes with waitresses continuously walking past it and leaving it there. A waitress did come and ask us whether we had ordered an afternoon tea but then disappeared. Eventually we got it after 40 minutes from ordering, my partner asked for another cup of tea and as the waitress was walking off she informed us it will be a wait ..... Even though the tea is supposed to be unlimited?The sandwiches were very stale so has made me question whether it was only stood there for the 15minutes I watched every waitress walk past it.All in all not a good experience and wouldn't recommend it.

Patisserie Valerie had its ups and downs during my visit. While the food was acceptable, it didn't quite live up to my expectations of a self-proclaimed patisserie. I found the prices to be quite high, especially as the quality wasn't reflective of the price.The wait time was also a bit of an issue. Despite being second in the queue, it took a long time before I was able to speak to the cashier and get seated. However, the staff were friendly and helpful.I would say that Patisserie Valerie is a decent option if you're looking for a quick bite or something sweet. However, if you're expecting a truly exceptional patisserie experience, you might want to look elsewhere. There are certainly better options in close proximity.

Was asked to work here on a “trial shift”. Got a lot of positive reinforcement and the team wanted to take me on apparently. Afterwards, I had received a message that recruitment had been “frozen” as they had took too many members of staff onboard. This confused me throughly as my time had been wasted. Now let me get to the main problem. When asked to work a trial shift, at no point was it mentioned that I would be unpaid. This is alarming as they now refuse to pay me. If I extrapolate the situation, my personal opinion is that they used me for free labour. From a moral standpoint this is really unfair as I have rent to pay and it’s very unethical. I will be sabotaging the shop in the near future if they don’t resolve my wages and advise all you people to be careful about the sheer greed of this company.

Eggs Benedict was delicious, asked for the Hollandaise sauce on the side as I haven’t had it before but wanted to try, once I actually had a taste of it it was lovely and smoothed the rest of the meal in it. My wife loved the blueberry and banana pancakes. The strawberry and banana smoothie really good and the raspberry and coconut latte was really lovely. The cake carrots are really nice, the icing is a bit sweeter than I would usually have but still really delicious.Lovely place will visit again.
