Excellent service! I used the online service for the first time and got a friendly and professional response without long wait from Dr Angela Bennett. The online prescription worked really well with my local pharmacy. Very impressed.

This is clearly a busy practice but I never have trouble speaking to a doctor when I really need it. All the doctors I’ve spoken to have been understanding and thorough. The two nurses I’ve seen on a few occasions are absolutely at the top of their profession: not only knowledgeable and infinitely kind but truly skilled blood-takers - wouldn’t even know I’d had anything done. So grateful I get to feel so safe and looked after by my GP and nurses, thank you.

I have experienced that the reception staff at Clay Farm often put forward to the GP our request for a repeat prescription. My wife as well submitted a request for a repeat prescription on 7th October for the Xailin Eye ointment but the pharmacy has not received the prescription from the Clay farm surgery. VERY BAD SERVICE INDEED.

horrible practice, logistics are not well thought out and receptionists sound very aggressive and unhelpful, they have no patience in explaining administrative processes and they manipulate/lie about your appointments due to spite and negligence. even the doctors have no clue what they’re doing, very lost in general. prescribed me 3 times antibiotics and it turned out later that i didn’t need any. they also have poor knowledge of medical conditions and always refer you to some place outside the gp (even a private clinic once!) just because they don’t want to work properly

I feel very lucky to be a patient at this surgery. Originally, I got to know a couple of the senior doctors and was a little worried when they retired a few years ago, but their replacements have been equally good. The nurses have always been great too. I'm really impressed by the reception team because they are always friendly and professional, and they do everything they can to make sure you can see or speak to a doctor quickly when needed.

Appalling reception. They NEVER answer the phones and CONSTANTLY stop patients from speaking to a doctor. They say to call back the next day at 8 am (then never answer), or offer call backs WEEKS later.

Absolutely apalling, this surgery is a threat to all patients. They don't respond to calls, disable the online requests after noon and do not even open the doors when trying to come in! Absolutely shocking lack of basic functioning.When I said I was feeling extremely unwell, I was given an appointment in a month's time. The GP who saw me previously did not do any blood tests but recommended I go privately for acupuncture. I had to go to the A&E to do the bloods and to learn that I have extremely severe hyperthyroidism, which can be life-threatening. Even then, the GP started me on a dose of medication, which had to be 8 times increased when I complained about it next day, having read the guidelines for thyrotoxicosis!!I would honestly be better off with anyone off the street pretending to be a GP instead of these people. They are only there to read NHS guidelines, and provide obstruction to absolutely anything you might need, even if you are dying.

Absolutely dreadful. I agree with a previous comment of basically a call centre. Most of the doctors are fantastic. The admin and reception staff are dreadful. Phones ring endlessly whilst you can hear other phones ringing when you eventually get through and general idle chit chat with others in the background and ignored. You have to constantly repeat the situation that they don’t understand ever promise to do things then don’t leading to needing to call back again and again and again. They are basically chatting answering the phone just to say go on the website! It’s a complete nightmare. Doctors great, admin and reception absolutely dreadful. Looking to move as a result.

I needed a consultation with a GP. I found the staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The GP did a full assessment, provided me with information and discussed with me all the options in a clear and understandable manner. I felt part of the decision-making and planning for my treatment.As other people mentioned, the waiting and the process for the appointment could be improved, but I can´t blame them as I am aware of the actual situation of the NHS.

Moved here for uni but have had to change GP as everything seems to have been handled with no urgency or care. It is unnecessarily hard to request appointments and prescriptions, as request forms seem not to work after noon, and I once had to wait 7 days for an urgent prescription to be signed by the doctor.
