Lovely meal here, the decor is pretty and atmosphere lively, but relaxed enough for an enjoyable meal. The food was amazing! An explosion of flavours cooked beautifully.Nice selection of beverages too.Public car park close by.

Definitely the place for ultra highly processed food packed with salt and sugar, and diarrhoea. I’ve flossed and brushed my teeth twice since my meal (before bed and next morning) and it’s afternoon the following day, and I can still taste the salt in my mouth. We both drunk loads of water throughout the evening and the night because of thirst from salt. I was told the Virgin mojito was a mix from a packet. It had no ginger taste despite menu say it had ginger ale and tasted of salt. We both had prawn Massaman curry which had 5 prawns in each. I think the prawns were £2 extra, so 40p each. Massaman curry was mostly sauce. The potato and carrots were serrated square shape and presumably came out a frozen food pack. (Most likely the whole dish came out a frozen food packet.) The pastry in the duck spring roll starter was sweet and not crispy. The roti was greasy, undercooked, and rubbery. The Tom Yum fried rice was cold, and the Jasmine Rice was sticky rice. My friends expresso coffee was lost in my tea cup and I was given the empty expresso cup for my pot of tea. I poured the expresso coffee into my expresso cup and asked for another tea cup but didn’t get a saucer or apology. Was told they had no takeaway cups for my leftover tea so I could continue drinking it in the theatre, and no takeaway containers for our leftover food even though they profess to do take away and delivery food. (In hindsight I’m pleased we left the leftovers as our bodies are still overloaded with salt.) The cost was £88 for two with £8.88 service charge. Recommend avoiding Giggling Squid and dine elsewhere.

We are regular patrons of Giggling Squid in our town (in Surrey) and visited this branch in Windsor for a day trip.Coming with and having recommended to our friends, we expected the same high standards of food in terms of consistency. However, it unfortunately isn't.Portions are significantly SMALLER. The childrens' meal are almost half the amounts of what we have at our local branch e.g. for Pad Thai.Food quality is also lower, which is disappointing. For instance, I had the Hake Feast dish and normally it is crispy but the Windsor branch version is soggy. Other adult members of our group who ordered Pad Thai also thought that the dish was underpowered in terms of taste. Not sure how Giggling Squid runs as a franchise in terms of ensuring consistency of products offered. In this instance, the Windsor branch can do better and probably should look to benchmark with other branches (pictures of our local branch dishes are shown).Overall, our visit was disappointing.I would not recommend this branch. Windsor has a broad choice of Thai food that gives better value for money.

Food was served within reasonable time, loved the fact that it was freshly done with great taste. Kids menu should state suitable age, as my 10yr old chose from the kids menu he was provided but as the portion is small, we ordered double the meals so he be full.

We enjoyed our time at Giggling Squid, but it wasnt the best thai food… the Pad Thai had a unique almost burnt taste to it which we didnt personally enjoy. The staff, decor and drinks were very pleasant however. Id go back again, but id try another dish

Easy to find location, question is, why is two Thai restaurants located next to each other.....Food are presentable, could just imagine lots of thought have been put into it. Most dishes were tasty, i specially like to the salt and pepper squid, definitely a signature dish. Though the morning glory and pak choi could do with less oil. Price is honest and reasonable. Facilities are clean. Service are average. Ambience is excellent. Suggested to improve the oil level of various dishes including vegetables dishes and the noodle dishes. The pak kee mao we ordered was rather salty. Other than that all good. Keep up with the great work.

If you love Thai food and you are in Windsor; you must go to the Giggling Squid restaurant! The service, atmosphere and authentic Thai food is fantastic. My friend and I shared a starter for two and had a main each and were very satisfied. It's a very pretty restaurant with lots of bamboo and fake wisteria and fairy lights. The waitresses were lovely and we were made to feel very welcome.

Love this place!First off all we were salivating over the menu in the morning! Then we watched a show in the theatre next door in the afternoon and was ready an hour earlier than our table was booked for and the staff were very accommodating. We got there at 5pm on a Saturday and it very quickly filled up to capacity. The service was wonderful, such lovely happy staff. The food my goodness what can I say, the food was divine! All four of us had something different, starters and mains and everyone was delightedThe flavours are incredible.I cannot wait to return!

The restaurant is well decorated and plenty of room and is a lovely setting next to the castle and river Thames, the food though was a bit of a let down, we all had a lunch set meal. I had the Hawker set meal, which was the best of the 3, my wife and daughter had the Royal and salt and pepper set, a big disappointment and neither could finish their meal. My wife is from Malaysia, so when it comes to Asian food we are perhaps a little more critical, but we have had tastier food from our local Thai / Chinese takeaway. It should also be noted that a 10% service charge was added to our bill, making the food also a lot more expensive (I never noticed any reference to this on the menu and only picked this up when I got home)
