Being publicans ourselves we notice a lot of things others don't. This place serves excellent food and all the staff made us feel welcome. We had lunch today and I have to say the homemade pie was delicious, we will be back.Thankyou

Me and my fiancée called here for a Sunday lunch after being disappointed just up the road, by the travellers, the Sunday lunch was absolutely gorgeous, filling, drinks were lovely

revisited again after 10 months, free wifi is working now. the 20% off the main menu during tuesday to thursday. the mushroom soup was delicious. the battered goats cheese was also tasty. the fish and chips were good. treacle sponge with custard was not too sweet. fish goujons and chips was good.booked a table for two on 1:30pm tuesday, the pub was at least half full. the special menu for two was value for money but chips did not include in price, ordered chips £3.50. the steak and ale pie was tasty and in generous portion. the smoked pepper and tomato soup and belly pork was delicious. free wifi was not available.

An excellent meal from start to finish. The food was superb, I had Lamb Cannon (amazing), my wife had Belly Pork (delicious). The service was impeccable. We also got the 20% special offer off our meal.

Came here for my friends birthday today, was great from start to finish very professional and couldn't do enough for you. Lots of gf options which I loved and there was a surprise for my little boy after his meal which was a lovely touch. Would love to come again!

We didn't book and just walked in and on a friday teatime, they found room for my husband and me. So glad as the food was Delicious. I even squeezed in desert and it was very tasty. Friendly Staff. Family run business. Would highly recommend

Lovely countryside pub. Historic building. Beautiful views. Food and service excellent. Was very busy but we were able to get a table quickly. Outdoor seating area too and ample parking spaces.

Lovely lunch at this Lovely pub. We were cycling on the trans pennine trail and stopped here and had two great hot sandwiches with chips. It was a nice day so we sat outside and enjoyed the view

Lovely Sunday roast, the staff were so lovely and were amazing with our 3 year old, bringing out a colouring party pack for her as we sat down. Really nice experience
