From the car park everything is close by. There is a café (dog friendly) with all the usual facilities and an area for sitting outside when the weather permits . The forest walks are lovely and paths well maintained. There are plenty of places to stop for a rest and take in the views. There are several trails to follow so it is a place you can spend most of the day. Had a fantastic day.

This is a fantastic place to visit. There are walks for all abilities. The white walk goes past the waterfall and is near the wildlife hide where you can hopefully see some red squirrels. The green walk goes through the old forest. The visitor centre is great staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a nice cafe too. Car parking is £5 for the day.

Absolutely incredible place. The lodge has a lovely little cafe with great views - if it is a clear day. On the white walk to a lovely waterfall and river. Then cross the road to the binoculars sign and follow the path. It leads up to the most beautiful squirrel hide. The best place to see red squirrels and birds. - including woodpeckers. Definitely worth a visit as long as you are respectful to the wildlife and the other people around you by being quiet!

An amazing time walking to the Water Fall. First time being here today. Plenty of parking spaces on site. A new Cafe is being constructed. Toilets are available beside the Visitor Centre. Paper maps are available for free beside the Visitor Centre. Which is great for selecting which walking trails you want to explore. Also visited the Hide and saw some birds. Will definitely be back.
