If you want your trees or hedges pruned safely and satisfactorily, whether they are large or small jobs, I recommend Croak Tree Surgery. They are a small, but brilliant, family run business, the paperwork and emails were straightforward and I was kept informed of what they were doing and also consulted, while they were working, when something slightly different needed doing.Chris visited my orchard and garden in December 2021 in order to give me a quotation, which was competitive. The fruit and nut trees had become become overgrown, some were growing into each other; the Leylandii were out of control.Most of the work was carried out, by Chris and his team over a full working week in January 2022, including some very overgrown Leylandii. At this time they were not able to complete the work on my front hedge, but returned quickly to do so; the hedge was trimmed on both sides and cut down to a sensible level before the nesting season. Chris will return to complete one last mixed tree hedge, the garden in that area was flooded at the time and unsafe for the team to work on. The site was cleared as the work was completed and the garden left in the same state as when they arrived.Chris was knowledgeable about the trees and the environment including details about nesting seasons and other restrictions which might apply. I was impressed by the team’s working attitude and use of power tools, as well as the way they worked together as a team.I have already asked that they return every year or earlier if necessary, to keep our trees and hedges in good order and healthy.

Chris and his team did a great job removing our lime trees and stump grinding them. It was a tricky project with power cables in the way, listed cottage next door etc. But his professional team carried out the work diligently and on time. They left the site tidy too.
