Brilliant food, brilliant service, and plenty of choice! We received excellent service here from Ewan last week! Really impressed with the value of food and drink here too.

Despite the rain great place to visit, with some great shops. Cafe quite expensive, but does allow dogs which was great as there wasn't any covered outdoor seating. We were lucky as wedding about to take place while we were there, and the bagpipes made the atmosphere.

Interesting museum and plenty of shops with various items solely aimed at the tourist customers. Worth a visit though.

Just had a scone and coffee due to not being too hungry but was tempted by the variety of hot meals.

Stopped here on a coach trip from London SE to Loch Awe in Scotland and of course the coach made the obligatory stop at Gretna Green, which putting it bluntly is nothing but a tourist trap, it certainly doesn't feel original in any way, with not much to see other than shops, foodhall, cafeteria and a museum.Personally I was very disappointed!

It is a our favourite spot for a quick stop on route to England and on our return journey. Was quite crowed this time, a lot of Coach parties stopping for their midday break.

Someone recommended Gretna Green as a stop off when travelling along M74.It's really busy, nearly full car park, many coaches and literally 3 minutes from the motorway. It's a popular place yet I literally don't know why. It's just like a motorway services in terms of motorway noise and motorway prices. There is history and if that's your thing, or you want to get married in a registry office then, it offers that. Otherwise, make Carlisle your stop on this North/South bound journey.Food is okay, but £7.99 for a bit of gammon, some warmed oven chips and some really terrible 'vegetables' is far too much. The vegetables is my main grumble with this price. The baked potato, with tuna and some meagre wilted salad at £4.99 isn't so bad.Food was okay, but I definitely wouldn't stop here again or recommend it to anyone else.
