Reasonably priced food, staff friendly, food plentiful and with good choice. Just too big a room to create any atmosphere, needs some division in there.

Beautiful food for the most part, overdone steak on one of our orders but couldn't fault anything else. Large portions, so decent value. Staff polite, friendly and quick to clear away

The service was questionable, when we arrived we were pointed to our table at the other side of the room instead of shown to it. Having to flag people down to get drinks etc isn't the best. We had 8 meals and only one person enjoyed theirs, the food wasn't amazing. One meal came out burnt, which was sent back. We kept everything but the meat which was burnt, instead of refunding the meal as expected we were made to pay for half of the meal, terrible service. We traveled quite a distance for a special occasion and left bitterly disappointed. Don't bother.

Took my Mum for lunch here today, lovely atmosphere and great value for money. I had the Shropshire pork that was absolutely beautiful and Mum decided on the Ploughman's lunch which she said was lovely! Would highly recommend! Definitely will be back again!

We was celebrating 2 birthdays and people had travelled a good distance to attend. 2 pizzas turned up freezing cold" personally think they'd been frozen and warmed up the meat was ice cold. Was asked by the waitress that the chef had asked if "we wanted it warmed back up"...yeah I know! We had fresh pizzas and the quality was poor...4 out of the 9 meals were cold. Very disappointing and will not be returning.. manager also doesn't want to talk to anyone over the phone..been told by the staff 2 different names for the manager...when I asked about the 1st name..she confirmed no-one worked there of that name..avoid people!"

Been here many timesBut even though my meal tasted lovelyI had the chiefs special cottage pieIt wasn't much of the main as should have been it was so much potatoe it was very heavy.We didn't have sweet as too much chocolate deserts and no crumble typeMight sound silly but needed more choiceI also had a floater coffee which was disappointing the ☕ was week

Lovely village pub we booked a table for lunch wide Choice on the menu ,vegetarian choice was very tasty 1 friend had that. I had a panini .too much for me it came with salad, coleslaw and chips .I saw a fish sandwich being delivered to the next table with all its attachments I think it would have fed two .Prices for lunch weren't too excessive either

Great looking pub. Looks like they spent a fair bit of money refurbishing it. Car park is large and well lit (helpful since its in the middle of nowhere). Service was very good although there wasn't a lot of people in there but then we were eating mid-week and quite early (6.30pm).Food was delivered prompt enough and was both plentiful and super hot.Would certainly visit again.
