South Coast Dry Cleaners

First time getting a suit dry cleaned and the lady inside was rushed off her feet but still found plenty of time to be extra friendly, extra helpful and managed to get my suit cleaned 2 days ahead of schedule! This will be my my only option for future laundry requirements!

This dry cleaners ruined a pair of hand made curtains we took in for dry cleaning. The curtains shrank and are now 3 inches shorter than the linings. We are in the process of having some more made to replace them at quite a lot of expense. We did not receive any apology when we raised this problem at the dry cleaners. We were offered a reduction in the amount that they would charge for letting them down. We did not find this acceptable. The person we spoke to was not concerned at all and refused to take any responsibility for what had happened. The dry cleaners ask you to sign a disclaimer before they will clean your curtains. However this assumes that they will treat the curtains correctly. We suspect that the curtains were washed, not dry cleaned as the colour is now different from the original colour. When we collected the curtains, we were not told that they had shrunk, although once they were un- packed from their wrapping, it was clearly obvious what had happened. We double checked that the curtains were dry cleanable with C & H fabrics where the curtains were purchased, they confirmed that they were dry cleanable and had not had any problems notified to them from other customers buying the same fabric. They had sold the fabric for a great number of years. Beware of using this dry cleaners if you have curtains that you value.

Called South Coast Dry cleaners initially Shirley stating I needed my husbands suit dried cleaned for a wedding in 2 days time, they said their partner shop in North Baddesley would be able to help. Called them and they said they could do it same day, were super quick professional and friendly and have done an amazing job, also very reasonable pricing why considering they provide a same day service! Would definitely recommend

Took my crumpled two-piece suit in for dry cleaning here at the last minute, with a wedding (not mine) less than a week away. They turned it around in less than two days and the result was perfect. Suit was as good as new, crisp, clean and perfectly ironed. Will def use again. The wedding was great too!

Expensive natural silk bed throw that was treasured for years has been ruined by unprofessional service. If you have an item that’s impossible to replace - choose other cleaners. The bed throw was accepted for “DRY clean to send away” without any reservations or risk warnings. The fabric was strong enough to be mended (which was done very well) but washing with non specialised detergent instead of dry cleaning not only discoloured the throw but also didn’t clean it. Would I be warned that risks are involved I would ask it to be mended but wouldn’t ask for a clean.No apologies offered. Poor people skills, service and management. Totally unprofessional approach aimed at profit. What a shame!Read similar review by another customer whose expensive curtains were discoloured after a basic wash. Professional advice/ warning to customers would have prevented these situations and saved customers a lot of trouble and money. It’s not a care or service in my experience - it’s making profit at customers expense!

I have been using South Coast Dry Cleaners for a variety of services over many years. The staff are always super-friendly, cheerful & helpful, and their work - whether dry-cleaning, ironing or anything else they offer - is consistently very good.

After seeing on their website that wedding dress dry cleaning was 'Only £99', I took my wife's wedding dress in to be dry cleaned following our wedding.When I took the dress in and after filling in the relevant paperwork, the lady told me the price would be £149 plus £50 for a box. So £199 in total.When I asked about the £99 offer, apparently the website was in the process of being updated". Not impressed and the shop should have honoured the advertised price at the time. £50 difference plus £50 for a box - £100 more than advertised!I felt incredibly cheated as a customer

I had my daughter’s wedding dress cleaned by South-coast dry cleaners after it had been stored away in a box. It came back from cleaning looking fabulous and can now be packed away looking as good as new. Great job South Coast Dry Cleaners. To be recommended. Thank you.
