The seafront bungalows needs an update, apart from that bit the place is fine. I don't know the people around, I met a couple who moved there, friendly chaps. Roads needs to get fixed as well. Lot of work need to be done to attract tourists there.

Jaywick Beach is a broad stretch of soft sand, south of Clacton-on-Sea. It usually remains quite secluded despite the close vicinity of Clacton Pier where it often becomes overcrowded as soon as the weather is favourable. Jaywick Beach actually has the softest sand of this entire stretch of coastline, so well worth the walk out of Clacton-on-Sea for the experience of an almost unspoilt beach. Don't allow the reputation of 'Jaywick' to put you off visiting. Jaywick Beach is a quiet, family friendly stretch of Essex coast.

A lovely sandy beach that's very quiet. People are put off by the reputation of Jaywick itself but is probably one of the best in the area and a short walk from St Osyth and Clacton.
