It was a great place for a cheap stay, nice pub with an excellent range of drinks. Situated near the bus stops. Accommodation adequate, clean and comfortable.

Needs a better selection of Spirits, specifically Whisky....might encourage folk to linger after their meal a little longer and spend more. Masterful food though. Recommend.

Excellent over night stay here. It exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and cleanliness. Really good value for money. We had two rooms. One with double bed one with twin beds. Both were very comfortable.Bonus of Pizza night in the pub below too.. delicious! Very little noise from the pub and the shared bathroom was more that adequate. Friendly staff and a great little walk nearby in the Erewash valley should you want some fresh air and exercise!

Stayed here for a few nights while on a short trip from Germany. Rooms are good and warm with adequate clean separate toilets and showers. The staff are very friendly and willing to help in any unplanned situation.The pub beer various real ale is definitely one not to be missed.All in all a pleasant experience.

It's a very nice hotel. Security wise, I will give them 10/10. Staff Approach, I will give the.m 10/10 (the lady that met me even helped me with my luggage). A very nice place to stay with good room.

First visit her on Friday. Stagg extremely friendly and genuine, not forced friendliness.Great selection of beers. Was very busy, but no screaming or shouting by anyone, just nice people having nice conversations. Would highly recommend and we will be returning often.

Not usually into Real Ale pubs, but needed accommodation for a weekend whilst working locally. Brilliant range of beers, well kept and served by really friendly staff. Loved the sausage rolls. Will be returning the next time I'm in the area.
