Suffolk Steel House & Glamping

Beautiful setting, wonderful views and peaceful countryside. Bell tents were spacious and well laid out. The kitchen and hot shower/bathroom areas were a real bonus and added a level of comfort to the stay.Easy to recommend, hard to leave!!

We could not have asked for a more romantic or stylish location!The site was very clean and quiet, with:1. A kitchen with hot plate, 2 fridges and all cutlery & crockery you could need2. A bathroom inside the cool steel house, private for each tent, with rainfall shower3. Two shaded hang-out areas" to escape the sun and enjoy the cream tea Cristabel provided4. A bell tent with the most comfortable bed

Hidden gem! The location couldn't be more relaxing, calming and beautiful! With easy access to everything. The site itself hasn't missed a single detail, from great design, to matches and hangers. The bell tent itself was a super cosy home. The kitchen and bathroom had everything you could need. Christabel was a fantastic host! We will be back very soon! Cannot recommend enough!

This place is beautiful - peaceful, tranquil and with amazing views.The tent itself was awesome. - loads of space, the bed was super comfortable and it has everything you need in there, including a log fire for chilly nights. The kitchen in the horse cart is also fully equipped with everything you could want, including a flip up table for two. The steel bathroom shack is very tastefully done and the shower was great.Our host Cristabel clearly has an eye for detail and keeps the place immaculate. We had an amazing stay for 4 nights, enjoyed every minute and will definitely be back!Thanks Cristabel and team - a superb place that we simply cannot recommend enough!

The perfect weekend getaway with beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. The bell tent is lovely and spacious with a very comfortable king size bed. The kitchen has everything you need and is kept immaculately and the bathroom feels like you're in a 5 star hotel! Thank you Cristabel for making our stay so enjoyable, we will be back!

Nick & I had a really lovely time in this glamping experience. The location is close to plenty of great walks and the site itself is spacious and secluded. However you can hear the distance noise pollution from train/cars so if you are noise sensitive in the evening, bring ear plugs! Nevertheless, the evenings were peaceful with just us (and the others occupying the 2nd tent), our pitfire and the stars. It felt very relaxing stepping away from the daily grind and tv/phones. They have really good wifi service but the aura of the place encourages you to detach. The bed was very cosy and the tent is spacious enough. The stove helps keep us warm in the evening for sure! The shared kitchen is full of amenities and they thought of everything you needed for the bbq. Also private toilet was deffo a plus and having hot water shower was handy! We also tried their pizza brick oven and the owners lent us a helping hand when they noticed us struggling a bit since it was a first time. This is also our first glamping experience and we’d love to come back here for more exploring and star gazing. The hosts are lovely, and so is the place! My Husband and I had a brilliant time at Suffolk Steel house glamping site. Glamping is something we do each year and we are always looking for unique sites or ones that are smaller and less contrived. Suffolk steel house is just that. There’s only two tents on the land both far apart to allow total privacy and the most wonderful view of the valley. The tents are beautiful with lovely touches inside and very posh bedding! It was unusual to have proper hot water showers and we really appreciated them as it was a very chilly weekend. It feels very family run and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. They gave us loads of info on the local area. It’s a beautiful part of the world Suffolk and you are well positioned at this site to take full advantage of it. Highly recommend.

Big thank you for the loveliest of stays! We were so impressed by everything offered - everything had been thought of. Fantastic little kitchen with cooking facilities, bathroom, army tent to shelter from rain!We didn’t have a car, but luckily bikes were provided along with great recommendations from Christabel of local spots to visit.We would really recommend booking here as a couple or a small group of friends - it’s a beautiful little spot with lots to do locally.Thank you again!
