Three Cottages at Meanwood Park
Sadly, it's been a poor experience the last few times we've visited. Food is alright but pricey, location is nice but it's generally a long wait - the service let's it down the most. My partner can't eat dairy and the first time he ordered a steak banh mi which we paid for and then they came back 15 mins later to tell us there was no steak left, so we agreed to change it to chicken. The sandwich arrived without the sauce or anything else on it so was just a standard dry chicken sandwich rather than a banh mi for £13. Most recently, he asked if they had vegan sausage rolls in and the waitress told us yes but then again, came back 20 mins later to say they didn't have any, just before my food arrived, so he didn't eat! You also have to pay in advance so we've been promised a refund but I half doubt it'll come through. Such a shame because the location is lovely and could be a great little place but we won't be eating there again.

Lovely cafe and bar next to Meanwood Park, with an impressive array of very delicious looking bakes and cakes (brownies, blondies, pastries, etc). Good range of drinks, including some lager beers (Birra Moretti) and it was nice that they offer table service, and staff were very prompt. Lunch time menu as well offering salads, soups and other dishes. Lovely to visit on a sunny afternoon, and there is some indoor seating as well.Sadly the cafe had completely run out of ice cream when we arrived.Overall it was a lovely experience, except their one toilet was pretty dire. The toilet is disabled-friendly, has a baby changing table, and is unisex. There were endless queues for the loo, and I was disappointed to find it wasn’t well maintained or checked on - the sink was blocked, there was water (or other fluids) all over the floor, and there were no hand towels.

Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, wasn’t too busy. We sat down, my friend went to the bathroom and within a minute someone asked if I was ready to order. Friend came back I went to the bathroom and someone asked her again, this happened twice more in the next 2 minutes from different waiters. We ordered 2 coffees the fish cake and a sandwich which came with chips. The coffee was practically just milk. The sandwich came with only 6 chips, which weren’t very nice. The fishcake was covered in sauce so you couldn’t taste it at all. Not great.

Seems to be the place to go on a Sunday, nice setting. The table we were shown to had crumbs all over it and so did the benches. The food was ok, I had eggs Benedict, tasty enough but the toast was a bit soggy. Prices are definitely on the high side.

Went here for Sunday Lunch and the food was fantastic. The roast potatoes were the correct level of crisp and had been seasoned well and were very tasty. The rest of the veg was cooked excellently. Oli that served us was brilliant, he can serve me any day.

I love this cafe. Had Sunday lunch today and it was fantastic. Had all the veggies which were delicious. One of the best Sunday dinners in Leeds. Cozy outside seating available which will be heated in winter.I’m sad to see some negative reviews on here. I wish people would contact the management directly if they have not been satisfied, so they can be given the opportunity to rectify any disappointments without it being so public. I’m my opinion the food is delicious. It’s a busy cafe, the staff are hardworking and friendly. Good location right next to meanwood park.

As someone who was born and raised in Meanwood, I enjoy returning occasionally. The park always brings back happy memories. We visited the Three Cottages Cafe with high hopes having read the good reviews. We went a couple of years ago on a bitterly cold day and appreciated some delicious soup and a hot chocolate.Sadly today, the soup was off the menu. The ham and cheese toastie was nice but nothing special considering the price. For the 5 of us, the bill was £53.The eating area was outdoors, which was nice on this sunny day.Service was good, but could have been a bit friendlier.I'm very happy to support local businesses and I really wanted this lunch to be something special. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. The single toilet is in need of some TLC but large enough for a wheelchair and has a changing table. The small car park is free.Disabled access is good.

Nice and tasty food but very expensive - £8.50 for a toasty with no side, quite steep in a casual park cafe. The server was incredibly unfriendly to families. You would imagine that children visit frequently as it’s next to the playground, but she made us feel so unwelcome and like we were really inconveniencing her. We were sitting as wooden benches outside so you would imagine it would be a relaxed affair! Also also charged double for ice creams and didn’t apologise for the error.

We had a visit to the cafe for Sunday lunch last week. The service was quick and friendly and the food was amazing. The beef was well cooked and, although a little glutinous, the cauliflower cheese, truffle mash and pigs in blankets were a very welcome addition. We don’t have dessert today, mainly due to the portion sizes, but have previously had a selection of their pastries, which are always fresh, tasty and on the larger side of normal to say the least. The added bonus was that we could enjoy this with the dog after our walk around glorious Meanwood woods.Perfect Sunday afternoon.
