Took part on a blitz tournament and it was very well organized and fun to be part of. The premises are fantastic, the best I've ever been, and Andrew and Matthew excellent hosts. Thanks guys.

I really enjoyed their Saturday rapidplay tournament in autumn 2021; there are more on the calendar and I'll probably join in another one. It had friendly organisers and fellow-contestants, and a well-equipped venue, just what chess needs.

Amazing not for profit organisation… my son loves it (he attends the Junior section) lots to participate in - weekly practices, rapidplay tournaments and West Yorkshire league matches. Andy is brilliant and a great model peer for my teenager. It is a great safe space for social interaction with others who love the game.

Excellent chess venue with a modern look and the latest equipment such as DGT boards that can transmit the moves to a screen. The tournaments are well-organised and ran smoothly. The owners are very friendly and provide an excellent service for chess players of all levels. Friendly, relaxing atmosphere. Nice collection of books and even a four player chess set!The venue is centrally located, a 5 minute walk from Ilkley train station. It's in the middle of a nice city centre with plenty of shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants in the local area.

This is a great facility fit for modern times with fantastic facilities. The guys who run the club know what their members want and run the club in a very professional way.
