Balmacara Lodge B & B

We booked this B&B for a short fishing trip. The staff were friendly and helpful the beds were very comfortable the rooms were clean, and the bathrooms were spotless. The cooked breakfast was a little disappointing tiny portion the only breakfast I've ever had where you get half a piece of black pudding the tea and coffee were in large flasks. The restaurant's dinner menu was a bit expensive but tasted great.

We found Balmacara Lodge B&B a very cosy and relaxing lodge. This place is just few miles before you enter Isle of Skye and just few miles from famous Eilean Donan Castle. If you are planning for a trip from Glasgow or Inverness to Skye and want a place to put before you get into Skye, this is your place. The owners of this B&B are very polite and helpful. They are very understanding and respect the needs of travellers. The Lodge is very tidy, comfy and feels like home away from home with the care and courteous of the owner's. They have put their family pictures around the Lodge and it makes you think of your loved ones... One who are traveling with you and one at home. The rooms are very well equipped with TV, WiFi, Kettle, Hot water, Heater and cosy bed. The Lodge has got good view of the hills around.

Wonderful place to rest with an amazing sight.

Comfortable and very clean, the Balmacara Lodge is a bit hard to find, but once we got there, Angela welcomed us warmly and checked us in. The rooms were a bit small, but they have a very nice, spacious guest lounge where breakfast is served. Hot water and WiFi worked well and the bed was comfortable. We had the full Scottish breakfast, the first time we had this on our trip, and it was very good. She also had cereals, juice, yogurt, etc available if you wanted lighter fare.Angela sent us to the Plockton Shores restaurant for dinner, it was an excellent suggestion.

Excellent accommodation, really friendly hosts, would highly recommend.

Lovely bed and breakfast, very clean with really comfortable beds and a very welcoming couple running it and offering a complete breakfast. A good place to stay while visiting Skye island and it's surroundings.
