The hosts were so lovely and friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. There were homemade cookies in the room (which they kept topped up throughout our stay). When we got back from a day out they offered us tea and cake! The breakfasts were amazing - great choice of options and excellent quality food. Great attention to detail. The room was immaculate, the bed was big and comfy and the shower was hot and powerful. The location is a little village with access to lots of footpaths leading you out into the countryside - perfect for runners/walkers. I recommend Ebbor Gorge - the stunning little brother of Cheddar Gorge. The Westbury Inn pub just round the corner from the accommodation does lovely food. We loved our stay and are already planning to be back soon.

This really is a first-class b&b destination in all respects. The location is great, the rooms spotlessly clean and the breakfasts freshly home-cooked from locally-sourced products. The proprietors, Robert & Rachel, make you SO welcome and nothing is too much trouble - right down to the complimentary tea/coffee and home-made sponge cake when you return from a day's sightseeing . Highly, highly recommended.

The best B&B I have ever stayed in. Rachel and Robert are some of the kindest people I have come across anywhere, all of the food (breakfast, fresh baked bread, homemade cookies, just to name a few) was phenomenal, and the location is gorgeous with a beautiful, lush garden on property. This was absolutely perfect for our week long stay, and I would highly recommend to anyone.

We were looking for a last minute place to stay and we couldn’t have chosen better! Robert and Rachel were really friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the garden room which was light, airy and really clean. The breakfasts and homemade cookies were absolutely delicious. And we loved spongecake we were offered when we returned from our day out! We couldn’t have had a better experience and we would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit nearby.

Stayed for 3 nights in Westbury Cross House. It is truly a lovely place to stay., and well situated for the surrounding area. Although a B&B, you are not actually staying in the main house so you do not feel that you are imposing, thus you can really relax and come and go as you please without disturbing anyone. 100% spotless rooms, well equipped and cosy. Rachel, Robert and family bake their own bread, cakes and cookies (cookies supplied in the room). Offered tea and cake in the peaceful garden on return from our days out which is a lovely touch (and tasty!). Breakfast is really just so good, with all options cooked with local produce, and so tasty, a great way to start the day. Would recommend Westbury Cross House without hesitation, only issue is that you want to keep it a secret !

We stayed with Rachel and Robert for two nights. As a group on a walking holiday we took all 5 rooms and had an absolutely fabulous time.As hosts they were incredibly welcoming and did everything to make our stay a really enjoyable one. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The breakfasts were lovely and the afternoon cakes a real delight.Would thoroughly recommend a visit here. The local pub is a short walk away and does great food and there are several great restaurants within a 15 minute drive.Overall a perfect stay in the Mendips.

Absolutely one of the nicest B&B places I have ever stayed. Rachel & Robert are superb hosts. Your every need is catered for. You are welcomed with homemade Lemon Drizzle cake and tea on arrival. The breakfast is scrumptious with Rachel's homemade breads and Eggs Royale. The rooms are lovely and have every amenitie you need. Would highly recommend.Close to Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole.

We had the most amazing weekend and will return. We were greeted on arrival by Rachel who showed us to our room and made sure there wasn't anything else we needed. The room had everything we needed, and was a very comfortable stay. We meet Robert in the morning who cooked us breakfast (it was amazing) Both Robert and Rachel could not do enough for you, upon our return from a day out brought us tea and cake in the garden.Absolutely brilliant and we will definitely return.

Lovely the hosts cannot do enough for you. Rooms spacious and spotlessly clean. Would recommend to anyone traveling this way to book here. The little extra touches homemade biscuits in rooms and the offer of cake and coffee in the afternoon really do make it feel like 5star luxury. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked.
