Black Star TV/Electronics Repair

Excellent service. Our tv is only a couple years old and the screen went but still had sound. Lionel picked the tv up and had it fixed and back to me within 24 hours!!! Very reasonable price and a lot cheaper than buying a new tv. Really happy we used Black star, highly recommend.

A sub-woofer I owned suddenly stopped working. It was probably about 10 years old but still a very nice unit in excellent condition and too good to simply throw away. Phoned Black Star and spoke to Lionel who said he would take a look. The repair proved problematic in as much as no circuit schematic was available and some parts were now obsolete. It did take a long time to repair, Covid lockdown didn’t help, and parts had to be sourced from China. I’m delighted to say Lionel didn’t give up and eventually parts arrived and the sub-woofer is now back to its former glory and sounding great. It’s excellent, and quite rare, to find a company offering a good old fashioned repair service at reasonable prices in what has tragically become a throw away age.

Lionel is a true gentleman, he collected our television and due to it being the Christmas period, ensured I was not left without viewing and loaned us, free of charge no doubt a replacement. Lionel explained in full, the issues that he found and how much it would cost to repair before anything was agreed. Black Star Repairs are extremely reasonable and may I add no call out charge. My 7 year old Ultra HD 55 LG TV stopped working suddenly. I found Black Star on google and gave Lionel a ring. Lionel very nicely asked about the problem and then managed to fix it with new replacement part (for which he went to great length to find/source) in the shortest possible time. He charged a fair and reasonable price for fixing it. I am very happy with the fix and will highly recommend him Black Star for any TV/Electronics problem. Lionel is a gem!"

Definitely a 5 star review, was very helpful sorted our dvd cd radio system even brought it back to us to try and that we was happy. 1 less system in the throw away culture of today. Was told by others to just get a new 1 and dump this 1. Thanks very much Black star repairs. Sue

Lionel is very knowledgeable and passionate about repairing TVs sadly my TV was unviable to repair but the cost to me was Zero after he had fault found on the TV highly recommended

I highly recommend Black Star for a thoroughly professional service. My 3 yr old smart tv just stopped working out of the blue. I spoke to Lionel on the phone and popped the set into him an hour later (he will also do home visits). He diagnosed the problem - burned out back lights - the same day. I picked it up the next morning and the fee was extremely reasonable AND a year’s guarantee was included. In this day and age where will you get service like that? If your tv breaks down don’t despair and don’t rush to spend a fortune on a new one. Have it repaired by Black Star and feel happy.

Lionel managed to fix my TV in just two days. He was very friendly and is clearly an expert at what he does. Would thoroughly recommend trying Lionel before throwing away a broken TV!
