We spent a truly relaxing weekend here and didn’t want to leave.Mary and Warwick have thought of everything you could need and made Shepherd’s Delight an absolute gem. It’s set in a wonderful spot with a variety of wildlife at your door. The facilities are first class and the hot tub is really the icing on the cake.Thanks Mary and Warwick - we will see you again soon!

We have just come back from a fantastic a long weekend here.We were warmly welcomed by Warwick who was lovely.The hut was very clean and had everything we needed and more, the breakfast hampers were an added bonus especially the marshmallows for toasting on the fire.Being off grid and waking up to the wildlife was amazing, we will definitely be backThank you Warwick and Mary

Second visit to the Shepard hut and we were not disappointed, this place really is a little piece of heaven. I can’t even put into words how amazing our little getaway was, and we will definitely be having a third visit in the future. Everything you need is provided with little added extras which make the stay even more magical, me and my wife even found ourselves bird watching which we would have never considered doing. The upgrade to the hot tub was a good decision and is definitely worth the extra cost, which is still a steal. I always worry about sleeping in a different bed and not being comfortable but the bed is luxurious and feels like your at home the pillows and duvet are something i would like to invest in for my own home as they are also amazing. From the moment we entered through the gate, we were very impressed. The the shepherd's hut was warm and inviting and very secluded. The hut was surprisingly spacious and very clean with comfortable beds. The hut was overlooking the lush green field's which was a fabulous view in the morning watching the birds have their breakfast. The kitchen area has everything you need for outdoor cooking which we did a lot of. The shower was really good and a great experience. Toilet facilities are perfect and more comfortable than you would expect. We really enjoyed using the log fired bath another perfect experience and very romantic in the evening.Overall this is a 5 star experience with everything you need and more.Thank you for letting us experience your special hideaway.

We loved our stay at Shepherd's Delight. It was easy to find and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The cabin is in a private piece of woodland which you have exclusive use of during your stay and is extremely well provisioned with everything you might need. A perfect getaway for couples in beautiful Yorkshire!

A really unique place for a couple of nights away. Mary and Warwick are lovely and incredibly helpful. The hut is insanely well-equipped. We took only the bare essentials with us and did not need any more. Warm (once you get the fire going), comfortable, quiet. A beautiful spot.

We had our second stay here exactly one year after our first, in fact, we booked our second stay following our first.The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Once you arrive, everything is all ready for you to start the most relaxing, reclusive break ever. The hut is small but once inside you realise that you have everything you need for the perfect getaway.The woodburning hot tub is outstanding. You do need to set it away yourself but the satisfaction once it has been nurtured up to 35 degrees is amazing. Once in, you can gaze up through the opening in the woods at the stars. You may even see a shooting star.The little touches are beautiful, like the little breakfast baskets and the full length ponchos. The bed is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in.Coming face to face with an alpaca was a surprise but it is their field at the end of the day. We woke up to pheasants and squirrels outside the hut like a little disney movie. We don't want to tell too many people about this place in case we can't get booked but it needed the 5 stars.See you again next year

Went back to Shepherd's Delight for the 2nd time, and I know we'll be back again sometime soon! Mary is a fantastic host, and has created the perfect cosy getaway in the woods here. Stargazing in the hot tub is an unforgettable experience!
