Had a great couple of visits whilst we were staying at nearby Barlings campsite. There were 14 of us and the meals we had were excellent. The bonus for us was that it’s dog friendly too.

Still thinking about the meal we had! My fish was absolutely fabulous.Always leave here having had a lovely meal, feels like a treat without an enormous bill, very good value and a bit special.

I can not fault The George, we are frequent customers and I celebrated my birthday here yesterday with a large group of family and friends and have to say it's amazing. The food was excellent as always, as were the friendly staff.We have attended many events at the George and it never disappoints!!. I highly recommend The George to everyone.I'm looking forward to Sunday lunch later today.

The George is our favorite place to eat in the area, always a friendly welcome, a great selection of beers and an even better choice of food, different specials regularly which are locally sourced, it's easy to see why they came top 3 in the recent Best Dining pub of the year awards. Chef Ben is always happy to chat or answer any questions about his lovely food. They've recently started allowing campervan/motorhome stopovers in their large quiet car park and have regular classic and American car meets which bring in a good crowd. Can't wait to go again, I'm sure it won't be long.

I didn’t eat here but see they were having an American do and I hope that went well. A nice pub, a few regulars. Decent menu, the lady pounced on me and was “have you booked?” I thought “hang on love, the place is dead” and I was only after a couple of Lime and Sodas. Very nice they were too. We went into the second bar. Yes it’s worth stopping by if the traffic to Lincoln looks slow

Frequent visitor of the George and most recently last weekend when we were child free. Had a great meal as usual and the cocktails on tap are an absolute winner. Plenty of beer choices, loads to choose from on the menu which is always top quality. When we do take the kids the George are always accommodating doing smaller portions of a lot on the menu and my 3 year old loves the lasagne! Always a nice atmosphere, can’t rate highly enough.

Love this place so much and such a nice welcoming place for us, our little one and our dog. Fantastic quiz and great atmosphere. So lucky to have this place on our doorstep! Selection of drinks is brill and high quality food and a really reasonable price.

We stopped for food as we couldn't get a table at our stop over.I contacted them late the day before and we're more than happy to accommodate us.Upon arrival the outside was a little underwhelming, the car park was lit and had ample space. On entering we walked into the bar and were shown to our table, at that time we had the restaurant to ourselves.The waiting ladies were attentive and took our order quickly, the menu was varied and sounded great.The George burger and steak and ale pie were tasty and would recommend without hesitation, the burger was a little pink for me so I did leave some.Dessert cake in the shape of chocolate brownie and lemon cheesecake, again both fresh and moorish.
