Swindon Viewing Hill at Shaw Forest Park

Great views over Swindon (As the name suggests!). Also a good place to watch sunsets in the summer.

Viewing point is of suburbia, some pylons and a solar farm. Ugly methane vents everywhere. On the plus side it's nice and quiet on a sunny day in August.

It's a nice view of Swindon and easy to get to but could do with a small sign post to let people know it's there and unfortunately there is a lot of litter left there.

There are three concrete benches, nice open huge field but appears lifeless due to no kids play area, no cafe, toilet or artificial lake.The viewing point too is deserted, no beautification.kids can run around. Overall good for short visit and dogs walks.Not suitable for people with special needs, the entrance is not designed for them.Swindon council future investment can make this space a beautiful spot because of its view point.
