Everyone happy about price but I'd rather pay more to be looked after better. Stinks small no separate cat and dog area. Couldn't find us on the system. Waited over 2 hour even though we was there half an hour be for it opened. Will not return.

The care is professional and personal. And it is care. The charges are fair and I have found them to be trustworthy with our pets over the last ten years.Edit added as I have recently discovered that the practice has changed hands and is now part of a larger group. I can't vouch for the costs or other professional services until I might pay a return visit with one of the dogs or cats.Amended 26/12/21I have had cause to be in contact with the practice recently. The ease of access has changed, it appears that now, appointments only. Costs seem to have changed to the client, and not downwards. And the ownership appears to have changed.

The best veterinary in Wakefield. Their main focus is pets' health not making money! They charge very little and do a lot. Kirby the nurse, is so kind and helpful and my pet loved her straight away.Thank you Richmond House veterinary team.

Richmond house saved me a fortune after my cat had been attacked, I had been quoted approximately £700 by Vets for Pets. Richmond house carried out the work for £130 all in, with genuine compassion for the care of my pet. Months later, they were truly wonderful when one of our other cats was diagnosed with cancer, giving her end of life care, and truly understanding how we felt, at her passing and how upset we were. That level of understanding cannot be bought, or taught, you either have it or you don't, and they do, in spades. Fantastic people. The service is well worth the wait.

This vets was okay until it was recently taken over. The medication has got very expensive. It is virtually impossible to get through on the phone. You are always seen ages after your appointment time. Recently ordered some new insulin which they charged me £138 for and checking online, I can get it delivered for £52 - absolute rip off and they don't even care - it is just the way it is". My dog is diabetic and blind because it took them so long to figure out what was going on. Takes them weeks to send off Insurance Claim forms. Looking to move elsewhere. I WOULD STAY WELL CLEAR IF I WERE LOOKING FOR A VET NOW. APPAULING!"

Great place. Yes its small, yes you may have to queue outside in the cold and rain but the people working here are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They really care for the animals they treat. To top it off you don't need an appointment and it doesn't cost the earth like so many veterinary clinics. If you need an appointment or more serious treatment then the same practice has their main hospital in Dewsbury only a few miles down the road.

The vets are friendly, treat your pets effectively and you don't have to sell a kidney to pay the bill. On my first visit my cat got an injection and two lots of tablets and it only cost me £35.00, at my previous vets I would have had to add at least another £100 onto that. I thought they had forgotten to charge me for the treatments. I have now moved all of my pets under their care and I couldn't be happier. This vet practice has been taken over by a group now the Wakefield branch has closed and costs are now in line with the charges most other group practices charge. This
