Liskeard Fish & Chips

Ordered food just before 6pm...... got to 7:30pm still no food.As time went on and debating weather i actually made a order or was all just my imagination they finally graced me with there presence at a stunning and bold 8:10pm even though it says they close at 8pm??, i told them didnt want it as got food eleswere in the end (the reliable and dependable chinese). Delivery guy then had the nerve to aggy with me, i mean they are only cooking fish and chips its not complicated. I can only assume they had to go fishing first to catch the fish first then cook it.

This chippie started out great and we recommended it to friends - but has gone very downhill lately, and the last fish and chips we had from here a week ago were uneatable. Dark brown and very greasy chips and instead of a large fish it seemed to be 2 small bits of fish cooked together in an awful, thick and overcooked batter. I can't afford to spend money on food that mostly goes into the bin. Won't be back.

Ordered food last night, no battery on any battered sausages ordered bacon burger with cheese,turned up just a burger and a bit of bacon in a soggy bun no cheese the sausages were so greasy unedible and then to add insult to injury it cost me over 30 quid gave 40 and never received almost a tenner in change. I feel like I have been robbed.Never use this place again I suggest ppl beware.

This apparently is a regular chips. This isn’t even a small chips. Apparently there is a smaller portion size. Waited 15 minutes for them to cook what is, quite literally, a handful of chips. Gave the lot to my toddler, she’s still hungry. Glad she doesn’t mind the fact they are clearly overcooked to within an inch of their life. Won’t bother nipping this side of the A38 again when there’s much better options in Looe.

Wanted fish and chips in Liskeard and found this place using Google, staff were lovely and cooked our food fresh for us, only had to wait 10 minutes. Got home and everything was super tasty, couldn’t have been better. If we come back to Cornwall over this way again, we will definitely be back.

Having my family owning fish and chip shops for years I can truly say this is 1 of the most terrible chip shops I've ever tried. The oil they were cooked in was old and reasty making all the food un edible. Avoid at all costs. Its a good job that the large chips were the size of a kids portion as they terrible

Waited 2 hours for a delivery last night. After 1 hour I ended up getting food from elsewhere which still arrived before my fish and chip order. When my food did arrive, the delivery driver was quite rude. I told him I had gotten food from elsewhere and no longer wanted my fish and chip order that I didn’t even think was coming in the first place. When I said that, he stormed back to his car and slammed his door. Safe to say I’m never ordering from this place again.Not only was the delivery time and the attitude of the delivery driver shocking. The fact that the response to a genuine review was clearly written by someone who is a friend or relative of the establishment and flat out berated the writer of the negative review is just completely unprofessional.Negative reviews are part of owning a business, they’re gonna happen and you can either choose to ignore them or learn from them but never reply to a negative review in a rude, disrespectful manner.If this is how you treat your customers then your business isn’t going to last long, simple as that. I suggest you work on your people skills.

Absolutely great gluten free fish and chips, cooked fresh for you by friendly staff. For gluten-free you need to call them at lunchtime for the evening but they then cook them separately . Fish quality very good and popular with locals and visitors. You need to use the public car park as it is on a pedestrian road but the car parks are free after 4pm. Recommended . Takeaway only or eat outside

Took an age to prep and the food wasn’t great. Fish was dry, chips were mushy, curry sauce was watery and bland, and one item (pickled egg) was missing from the bag, so I’m technically owed 80p. Sorry, not good.

Wouldn’t even give this 1 star. Absolute joke in fish and chips. Ordered a large fish and chips and curry sauce. Not even a small size portion, curry sauce was like dishwater and about 25 chips in total.Cod oily and about 5” is length. Worst fish and chips that I have ever had even dogs wouldn’t eat it.Cost was £11:80. Complete rip off
