Hacking & Paterson

H&P have been our factor for more than 20 years and I have always found their service very good. Always keep us informed on what is going on in the estate and looking to improve the service and contractors used. Billing has become much easier recently and is easy to understand.Compared to what family and friends are charged for similar service elsewhere, I feel that we get a good service for a very good price.

Have been in contact with our agent Matt Merrick at Hacking and Paterson (Glasgow) a few times recently. Matt is absolutely excellent. He answers any queries you have and actions requests quickly and efficiently. We have complete confidence in Matt's ability. Couldn't ask for better service. Many thanks.

Having dealt with Hacking and Paterson for almost 20 years they are the worst company I have ever dealt with.Customer service is extremely poor verging on non existent, queriers are never addressed and on occasion staff are blatantly rude.The charges are extortionate and explanations of the work carried out are never passed on.I own several similarly sized property across the UK and each corresponding factor company provides a better and less expensive service.In the 19 years I have owned my property the building has deteriorated and the costs increase exponentially despite repeated complaints, queries and conversations with representatives from Hacking and Paterson down the years.I’d ask anyone buying a property with Hacking and Paterson being used as a factor to consider carefully their purchase as it is an energy sapping soul destroying process of paying out a fortune and watching the amateur approach to building maintenance destroying Glasgow heritage tenements in the name of blatant greed and incompetence .I rarely leave online reviews but in this case I feel obliged to do so to act as a warning for potential buyers.

Been with H&P in two properties including my current one. Wasn't always great in the past but in recent times much improved and a genuine effort to engage with residents. And to work with them so that developments etc are well looked after. Comms much better too and staff are genuinely helpful.

We didn’t have the best experience with H&P at our previous property however since moving to our new development, we have had a completely different approach. Lynsey has been wonderful to deal with. She is approachable, friendly and professional and our issues are resolved quickly with updates along the way.

My dad had a few issues with the garden maintenance at his property. Calvin Watson was quick to resolve the issue. He always responded promptly to my emails . He contacted the gardeners and they returned to carry out the work.Many thanks Calvin.

Overall I am happy with the service I have received from H&P. I have been with previous Glasgow based factors and I must admit the service from H&P has been far superior.Their response times are much better than others and the team are usually very friendly and helpful.It is important to remember factors do work only at the request of owners, standardly. Over the years I have only had 1 negative experience but that spans over 20 interactions so this appears to be a one-off. The one time I had an issue the team manager, Bruce, saved the day and restored my faith quickly!I am conscious other developments have had issues however I think my success has been down to the team and especially their team manager, Bruce, that look after my development.

Ryan Grant at the Glasgow office manages our property. Thus far I am very impressed with the service, he is always quick to respond to any queries and sorted a repair I recently reported within the same day. Company always provides a good notice period regarding payments and explain any additional charges. Very happy with them overall.

Well ,, I email to let them know how much of a mess the grass is AFTER they cut it, and was told someone would be back to fix it. Waited and waited until the next time they were due and what happens they cut it worse than the first time. As for the trees they don't even trim them back to tidy them up until winter when all the leaves are off them lmao.... .
