I rang Darren earlier this week, I described the problem and we agreed that the IR unit was probably at fault. I asked if the work could be carried out at the weekend and Darren said he could.Work was carried out in a very professional manner. I would definitely recommend Darren, and will use again if required

When my TV broke my quote from Phillips was a joke. After speaking to Darren he told me exactly what was wrong with it, Sent me all the details on the parts I needed and then fitted them for me with no hassle. Absolutely amazing service and will definitely use again if ever required.

I had to move my TV to disconnect some devices and when I tried to reconnect everything back up my optical cable wouldn't stay in the optical port. After lots of head scratching and internet searching I identified the root cause, which was the door to the optical port having snapped off. The door securing the cable is a terrible design flaw in my opinion, especially as them breaking off is very common.I contacted LG who offered to replace the board on which the optical port sits at a very expensive cost. I also contacted many other TV repair firms, who also wanted to do the same. This was extremely frustrating as internet searches suggested the optical port could be soldered off and a new one could be soldered on. However, LG would not provide any information regarding the optical port I'd need for my TV. It's shocking LG would make you replace an entire board when the broken part can be replaced. You wouldn't change your car's engine if you had a flat tyre...I was almost ready to give in and get the board replaced when another internet search returned Darlington Television Services. I spoke to Darren and explained my woes to him. He said he had a very similar model of irreparable LG TV in his workshop he was retaining for parts and offered to see if he could remove and re-attach the optical port, which he was able to do. He sent me pictures of the optical port he removed to help me locate a replacement part, which it enabled me to do. I sent Darren the part's details and he confirmed it was the correct part. He then told me to contact him when the part arrived and he'd get the job done. It would have been cheaper if I removed the board myself but it was an excellent price for the expert to do it so I didn't want to take the risk of doing it myself.I contacted Darren on the day the part arrived and agreed to drop off the TV the following day. However, when I tried to get the TV into my car it wouldn't fit. I contacted Darren to see if he offered a collection and drop off service, which thankfully he does at a very reasonable price in my opinion. He collected the TV, repaired it, dropped it back the same day and kept me updated throughout the process. As it's a large TV he was even kind enough to help me unbox it in my living room, and when I hooked it back up the port was working again.This is a long review but I feel it's appropriate to highlight the exceptional level of service Darren provided me. Hopefully it'll go some way towards ensuring if you're reading this, you'll not think twice about using Darlington Television Services!!!

Got my TV in straight away with Darren, unfortunately it’s screen failure and beyond repairable. But Darren tried his best, spent the afternoon taking it apart and trying new boards, he was very helpful regarding the situation. Thanks mate

I would like to give a massive Thanks to Paul who came out today as i could not get reception on TV, apparently it was the external aeriel in my block of apartments, external contractors has to fix due to a lightening strike! Paul did not charge me for calling him out, i am very grateful for his help and assistance, and also reassured my elderly neighbours that it is the fault from the external aeriel. I would definitely recommend Paul and his friendly team for honest advice, that don't rip you off.Thank you again.

Rang Darren on Bank holiday Monday, he was very helpful, we explained the problem and he rang us back and said he would pick our TV up for repair the next day. Excellent service from start to finish, very happy with the service and a very helpful pleasant guy. Darren brought our TV back the next day. We would highly recommend him.
