HiQ Tyres & Autocare Tunbridge Wells

Thought these guys seemed genuine, however after paying extra for 4 wheel alignment when I bought new tyres from them, this is the state of my nearly new Michelin's just 6 months and 4,000 miles later.... Now wishing I'd requested a copy of the alignment report.

They are a professional team for sure. Quick bookings for appointment. Quick service for the great market price. I definitely go back to them if I have any problems in my car in the future.

The guys here are really helpful. Friendly trustworthy service. I’m from a motor trade background ( worked as a mechanic until I was 32, which is many moons ago) so I wouldn’t give a review like this lightly. Recommend.

Every visit to this garage has left me feeling like I have over paid for the service proved. But, having said that, they seem to do a reasonable job. So I tend to accept the bill in good grace.

Have used HiQ for the past 3-4 years and always found their assessment to be honest and their prices reasonable. A professional services always with a clear explanation. I have recommended them to family and friends who have been impressed too.

Overcharged by abrasive manager.I had a terrible experience. I was charged £200 more than I was quoted (more than double). The mechanic who was taking payment was polite and understanding when I expressed shock at the price. He got the manager to speak to me. I asked if the job had been more complicated than planned and he said there had been a small complication costing a little extra but that the basic fee was almost £200 higher than I had been advised (by one of his employees). He was unpleasant and aggressive in his manner (unlike the very nice men working for him). I had two young children with me and felt bullied into paying in order to get my car and leave. I felt very uncomfortable with the way he was speaking to me and did not want my children to hear any more. I drove straight to Pembury Auto Centre (who had quoted the same original amount to fix the car but who we sadly didn’t choose to do the job) who expressed disbelief at what I had been charged. The manager there said it was more than double what would have been a reasonable fee for the job (which his mechanic had also examined the car and quoted for). I then phoned the HIQ manager and he was deeply unpleasant and unprofessional, calling me a liar and claiming he had agreed the high price with my husband, which he absolutely had not. Why on earth would we have selected HIQ if they were quoting £200 more that Pembury Auto Centre? Avoid this garage at all costs. I advised the manager I will be reporting to trading standards and trying to retrieve my money through the small claims court. He was rude and sarcastic upon hearing this. A truly awful experience that has left me feeling shaken.

Good garage. They were recommended to me and I wasn't disappointed. The cambelt was about to snap on my van. HiQ fitted me in at short notice and had my van back on the road very quickly. Thanks

I have been taking my cars to Keith and the team for a number of years and would highly recommend them. Their service is honest and professional. Having taken my cars previously to main dealerships and getting fed up with them trying to rip me off by doing work that is not required it is good to have somewhere where you can trust. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
