I’ve been at the Advance School of Dance for over 6 years, since it very first opened, and my love for dance has continued to grow with the help of the incredible teachers.The opportunities I’ve received through Advance are countless, from performing at carnivals, competing nationally and preparation for professional auditions, Miss Melissa (and all the teachers) go above and beyond to provide us with the best training to ensure that our passion and skill set continues to grow.Our teachers always ensure we thoroughly understand things, from the basics in technique to the many styles of dance we train in, to make sure that each student is the best they can be.This dance school is such a special place to so many people, with incredible teachers, training and students, it’s an honor to be able to dance here.

Our daughter has thrived here and has been inspired by the supportive and caring teachers who have guided her through examinations and introduced her to festivals. Her love of all things dance has been nurtured at Advance and we couldn’t be happier and our daughter is proud to be an ‘Advancer’.

I started at advance because i wanted to have more ballet experience to prepare for drama school. immediately when i started i was so welcomed by all of the students and staff and was pushed with my dance to another level. i joined without any dance technique and came out after about 2 years with a high grade in my first vocational RAD ballet exam, and high grades in modern and acrobatic exams. Miss melissa is truly such an inspirational and compassionate teacher. she always motivated me to work so hard in class however i could always go to her and trust her if i ever needed support with anything. i got into my dream musical theatre school and could not have done it without her and all of the teachers.

If you want teacher commitment and dedication then Miss Melissa and the teachers here will give you that. They have the passion for dance. We drive an hour and back twice a week to come here. I have watched closely the ability and confidence grow in the children as the school has grown. The children have friendships and enjoy the time they spend here. The Christmas show was absolutely fantastic. I helped back stage and saw the enjoyment and also watched the performance. I can’t recommend advance enough! All dancers get pushed to the best of their ability with amazing teaching, the children absolutely love all the teachers, it’s like a one big family! The competition team is absolutely amazing and pushed to the best of their ability putting on great performances and doing great in their competitions for the school!All dancers in graded classes are pushed to be the best, and trained to get the highest grades!!Miss Melissa is absolutely amazing, and has such an amazing dance school!Highly recommend!!

My daughter started about four years ago at age twelve and I cannot believe the progress she has made in these years, in technique and confidence. She has secured a place at a highly rated Performing Arts School now and without Advance this would not have been possible. The dance teachers are all incredibly enthusiastic and caring, without losing the discipline that’s needed to succeed in dance. Many opportunities are given for performances and you also get to see the lesson in final preparation for their exams, which I enjoyed as you get to see the progress they have made. Overall, highly recommended!

My daughter has been dancing with Advance school of dance for over 5years, she always has the best time while learning various types of dances from ballet to musical theatre. She has been given the opportunity to take exams, attend workshops and perform on stage. I can’t thank all the teacher enough for all their time and expertise they put into the students. Can’t wait to watch what they do in the years to come!
