Spencer Beck

Follow the Tees Link National Footpath from Normanby Road, Ormesby (next the vehicle entrance to Outwood Academy) to the Trunk Road and on towards the River Tees, or in the other direction up onto the Eston Hills to link up with the Cleveland Way. Midway along the beck you will find Thorntree Park.Spencer Beck is a narrow green corridor on the Middlesbrough side of the beck, with spectacular views over adjacent scrubland of the Eston Hills.A mixture of woodland, meadow, hedges, and waterside vegetation, with wildlife including water voles, shrews, jays, and barn owls. Interesting trees and plants include elms, cowslips, bluebells, red campion, guelder rose, yellow rattle, and wild strawberry.
