Hickory's Smokehouse Nuthall
Having passed this on our way to Nottingham on a Saturday we decided to see if there was any availability on our way back. It seemed very busy but we were happy to be seated at the kitchen bar. The atmosphere was really good and suited the type of establishment. Even though it was busy service was not slow and it wasn't too loud to make our orders or hear options. We had a peach ice tea and cherry cream soda to drink- both of which were large and very tasty. For our mains we had barbecue ribs and Texas brisket. The brisket was extremely tender and the ribs were excellent. Both were a decent portion size- if I were to have the brisket again I probably would upgrade my fries with the magic mix as I perhaps found I need some spice to go against the brisket and gravy. We would highly recommend a visit and I would definitely book ahead next time as it is very popular.

Very busy but well run restaurant off the a6002 from Nuthall to Bilborough.Plenty of space inside and out, plus a play park and cinema for kiddies.Great staff and food. Prices a little higher than other pubs and be careful with the bill, as a service charge is already built in.

Stopped for a meal after work, not knowing what to expect. From the moment we walked in, it was a great experience. The service was excellent , the food arrived quickly and was delicious, authentic barbecue. We tried the platter for 2 so we could try everything which was a great way to do it. The barbecue sauce ribs and brisket were the highlights for us, so much flavour and so tender!The drinks on offer both alcoholic and non alcoholic range was quite extensive and unique.Well worth the price

Excellent food and decent portions of meats with a depth of BBQ smoke. Loads of choice and excellent sides to go with them. Service could be a bit more attentive but no biggie. Good range of beer and bourbon. The milkshakes are really good. Great cinema area and outdoor play area for the kids.

This is such an awesome place with a different vibe! It definitely feels like you’ve stepped into an American diner. The staff is just the friendliest and very accommodating. The food is pretty good and very tasty. I just feel like some dishes are a little bland or dry without the exquisite sauces you get with them, so when you run out of the sauce, it can be a little disappointing. But generally, the menu is so varied and original that you’ll have a hard time making a decision! Would recommend for sure!

Our first time at Hickory's and let me tell you, it's our new favourite restaurant!The food was delicious, I couldn't get enough, a five-star rating from us! We were very surprised with how short the waiting time for food was. As soon as we sat down and ordered, our food was out in less than 10 minutes, and the same with our mains, and it was piping hot, which we loved!Our greetings from the staff on entry were very welcoming and our waitress was so lovely along with all the other staff. The price was really good, for two people who had Drinks, starters, mains and dessert was an amazing £30.00 each.I had a little walk around the restaurant, it's great for couples, there's a quiet section which is where we sat, quite relaxing. There's a family section, with lot's of play choices for kids and a sports area, with the footy playing in the background.We will definitely become regulars. Thanks to the amazing food, service, and atmosphere.

Food was fabulous! We had three courses and each course was just as good as one another, lovely to see a good range of food types as 'American' restaurants can often be samey! If you have anything, try the corn dogs!We sat outside with our pup and the staff were super friendly and accommodating- our puppy Maple even got her own piece of beef brisket which she loved, thank you!Only query is the smoking areas need to be more clearly marked. I was under the impression that there was a smoking area and then the rest of the outdoor area was non-smoking, however several people came and smoked near to where we were sitting which isn't great. If this is in fact a smoking area then it would have been good to have our expectations managed and we might have sat elsewhere.Otherwise, the restaurant is 10/10 for us! Even the decor is super unique, I found myself looking at some of the artists for prints they had - it was a fab evening
