Tightening my viola bow one morning last week, the screw failed (we all know that feeling!). Following recommendations from my orchestra, I took it to Kevin. He could not have been more helpful, liaising with the maker in Amsterdam and telling me at every stage what was happening. Within a week Kevin had sourced the correct brass screw, fitted it, and - for free - cleaned up the bow, charging only what he originally quoted. Playing at home yesterday I swear it's handling better than before, and making a more solid sound - thank you Kevin for re-setting the hairs, or whatever you did. I am very pleased!

I recently inherited my father's antique violin which was in need of restoration. I was thrilled to discover Kevin's business in nearby South Brent, though slightly nervous of approaching someone who has worked with world-class professional musicians. In fact Kevin was approachable and friendly. I was able to discuss with him the work which needed doing and was given a clear explanation of the costs involved - which were very reasonable.My treasured family heirloom was quickly restored to beautiful condition. I only wish I could play it personally but it will be passed on to my daughter who is very excited to broaden her skills as a cellist!

I messaged Kevin about a second-hand German violin that was listed on Reverb and his website, and he responded promptly to my many questions (even sent me additional photos that I asked for). I was initially hesitant about shipping an instrument overseas, but it arrived in great condition in a secure package. The violin is just as I expected from the photos and sound clip — more importantly, it plays so easily. Whatever work Kevin has done on this instrument, it is just a joy to play. Kevin is professional, responsive, and a good guy overall — I will not hesitate to work with him again, and highly recommend him.

I was very fortunate enough to purchase a wonderful violin from Kevin. Considering I was buying a violin from the UK to be shipped all the way to South Australia, the whole process has been excellent. Kevin went above and beyond with his customer service skills, with prompt communication and additional pictures and sound bites. I can honestly say that Kevin is reputable and reliable, especially from an international buyer’s perspective.

Kevin was amazing from start to finish, my daughter is grade 5 and we needed a fine violin at 3/4 size that would not limit her ability to progress and solo performance level, he was incredibly helpful and honest with the stock he had available to meet this criteria.
