HTN Loft Conversions

I was meant to write this review a few months back - sorry about that.Last year we were in the process of finding a good builder for loft conversion of our semi detached bungalow. We invited a few builders but nothing was working out because either they were not communicating with us well enough to paint a picture in our head or they provided a bad quote. Since we would be living in the house while the work was being carried out, we also had to keep that in mind while choosing a builder. My wife has a benchmark of gentlemen behaviour, she judges people by the expression on their face when asked to remove shoes at the door when they come inside our living space lol.Meanwhile my wife's friend recommended HTN based on some previous work. Rob and team came over and they immediately passed the behaviour benchmark test. These guys are absolute gentlemen. They communicated well and spent good amount of time discussing things with us and painting a final picture in our head. In a few days the quote and contract arrived. He also included a very convincing boundary wall permission letter for my neighbour. We booked HTN by paying the initial deposit. This was somewhere end of last year. We agreed the work will start in April 2022.First week of April, the scaffolding went up and side access to the loft was created for temporary access. They also isolated whole of the downstairs by blocking upstairs access to minimize any dust and noise. The team would come in the morning and quietly use the side access to go upstairs and start their work. We had no disturbance inside our house (apart from the normal building noise from upstairs). For the entire period I was working from home and I never had to take a day off work. We also went on a week long holiday in May leaving the house access with them - no issues with that either.I went upstairs through the side access from time to time to check the progress. Towards the end Rob asked me to order doors, radiators, bathroom stuff etc and that was my maximum involvement in all of this.During this time, there was shortage of building materials in the market, but Rob managed everything somehow and he didn't budge from his initial quote.Everything was extremely well managed by the team and they left the house in a very tidy condition. The job was concluded within time and budget and to our satisfaction.I summary HTN will be my first choice always because of these reasons:1. Clear communication (most important thing in my opinion)2. Extremely experienced and high standards of craftsmanship3. Dependable (you won't have to step in for anything start to finish)4. Rob and his team did a fantastic job of building a loft extension on our property. They turned up promptly at 8am every day and worked extremely hard to get the job finished to a high standard. They were always polite, courteous and respectful. We’ve had so many compliments from neighbours about how good our extension looks and this is all down to the excellent carpentry and finishing skills of Rob and his team. We would highly recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again on any future projects.

Nothing was to much trouble, communication was great and any queries or points we raised were taken on board and worked through together.The guys are very courteous and the subbies that did the roofing, plastering and tiling worked to the same high standard.The work was all completed on time and at the quoted price.Most importantly for us is that by using HTN lofts for your conversion all the work is completed by Rob, rather than being subbed out to teams, so any issues that do arise can easily be talked through rather than going through someone who isn't on site.
