Leisure Bowl

The lanes and seating areas are clean. The shoes are self service so really quick and easy. Also the shoes were all actually clean, which a lot of other bowling places let themselves down on. The selection of bowling balls was a let down for me, the lane had a few to choose from but none of them was comfortable for me. Often places will have a section with spare balls to go and collect and take back to your lane, sadly I didn't find one here.The soft play area for little kids was great for our child. Easy to access and the adults can supervise from afar as there were no obstacles in the way. The pool tables are decent, we managed to fit a few games in and enjoyed ourselves. The cues looked pretty good condition. A pleasant afternoon spent at Leisure Bowl!

£30 for 6 people for 1 hour, good fun, more than enough time to complete a full game. Shoes are self service, main complaint is lack of ball size weight selection. Not enough of the lighter balls with larger finger holes.

Good fun. Maybe I've grown since my last bowling session but the lanes seemed a bit narrow for an adult to get lined up. We didn't play particularly fast but ran out of time so didn't manage to finish our game before the timer ran out.

The place is good and the ambience is great but the bowling ripped us off! We were 7 players and after 45 minutes the game stopped. We were only at round four! They told us time was limited but anyone that knows anything about bowling should know that it would never be enough time. Why didn't they split the players into 2 lanes.So for the first time in my life I did not finish a game. Shame

Bar staff were lovely as they let my son make Slush's! We played some pool and bowling which was very enjoyable. The games arcade was very entertaining as well.

If you book before 2pm it's about £10 cheaper. We paid £30 for 1hr. There was 3 of us and we got 2.5 games in. Arrive 10 mins early to check in and get shoes sorted before the timer starts. The lane set up is done by the staff and was swift.Much perfer this to the bowling in the sports cafe.We had a great time.Good range of shoes and balls

The Leisure bowl is a tastefully furnished, large and uncrowded place, with friendly and helpful bar staff. But I came here for Leisure Bowling, and in that respect I was disappointed. While the ball return and scoring computer are good, the selection of available balls is sparce, and the Lane we used (lane 10) had THE WORST slope on it of any bowling lane I have ever been to. Truly awful, making high scores, accuracy in throwing near impossible and the game mostly unplayable. It is for this one shortcoming that I simply cannot rate it anything more than 1 Star and recommend that anyone, even casual bowlers, look elsewhere at the sports bowl" in the plaza when booking. You're experience will be much improved."

Good facility with friendly helpful staff. Could have done with better lighting on the bowling lanes.

As well as bowling there's a arcade area and bar. Soft play space with kids tv during day which becomes kids disco some evenings or dance area on other evenings/ later

Really great fun! Great location next to the swimming pool, has a bar, pool tables and some arcade games! Family friendly and a good activity to do!
