James Martin Hairdressers is the only place I would consider getting my hair done. I have thin hair and feel very self conscious about it and James makes me feel at ease about it and always recommends great styles that would suit my hair. The salon is very clean and the staff are great. They always offer you a cold or hot drink which all adds to the experience. Nothing is ever any bother for Jamie, who even put up banners for my daughters birthday when I was surprising her with getting her hair dip dyed. I can honestly say its a 5* salon without the high prices!!!! Try them for yourself, you will not be disappointed. If I could give more than 5 star rating I would. Love the place.

As a frequent customer at James Martin I'd like to say they've never been short on great customer service, I've used the salon for colours cuts and had hair extensions all from James. The team are friendly, experienced and chatty and the salon offers a fantastic service from online booking to eco-friendly products. Its relaxed, good music and a mix of customers, they offer a fab selection of free tea, coffees or hot choc and you can help yourself from there ice cold water fountain. I've always been listened to regarding what is like and never been disappointed. Worth a visit!

This is the most unprofessional place I've had the displeasure of being booked into. I booked an appointment back in April for a wedding in July. Plenty of notice you'd think??I get a text the morning before my appointment to confirm If I'll be attending only the time is 3 hours later than booked. No use what so ever!On speaking to someone I get the full story. My stylist has apparently been paid off and the owner has slotted me in to any old appointment they have free without thinking that it may be an idea to let me know!!I'm presuming the stylist was paid off before this morning and that my appointment has been moved for some time!So I'm left, the morning before a wedding scrabbling around to try and find a hairdresser with a free appointment on a Saturday morning.Given that they are a small local business who I imagine get a lot of their customers on recommendations and word of mouth their distinct lack of basic customer service skills or common courtesy is atrocious!!!Book at own risk!!!!

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Some of the most friendly and highly skilled staff I've come across. I'm very self conscious about my hair and I was made to feel perfectly at ease.The atmosphere in here is so relaxing and you feel like you are being pampered the whole time you're there. The prices are very reasonable and the stylists are always full of helpful suggestions when you're not really sure what you want!

Amazing and professional service. Love my colour every time I get it done. Would highly recommend. The salon is absolutely beautiful too.

I used this salon for the first time recently as i was unhappy with my previous stylist. James was extreamly welcoming when i arrived and made me feel at easy when we were discussing my hair cut. Im thinning onto and a bit self conscious about it however, James explain how he would cut and style it and answered any questions i had.

My hair has never looked better since I started going to James Martin Hairdressing 3 years ago. I’m always getting compliments on my hair. Avoid at all costs. Do not go here. I went into get hair extensions and said I wanted extensions for length as I had my hair cut short and wanted the length back. I had my extensions put in and they are the same length as my own hair. I confronted James and he said I had extensions at this length as I never had extensions before and for thickness. I never asked for extensions for thickness was always length and on my first consultation he showed me long extensions and I asked where they would be to and he said my waist. I messaged him and he was rude and the only solution he came up with was I was to wait a few weeks and he could offer me a trade discount on the hair to have the extensions long. I have to pay this man more money to fix his mistake. I now need to pay someone to remove there extensions and fit new ones that are the length I wanted in the first place.
