Absolutely horrible experience. Went in here for my Birthday. 6 of us was £5pp only the be thrown out after an hour for no reason. Bouncers were horrible and rude. Feel like it was if your face didn't fit type of place. Absolute dump the place was dirty. Avoid at all costs. Reading the reviews now I would have not bothered at all because it seems to be the same with everyone. This place needs shutting down. Completely ruined my night.

That was a great night. I'm still a bit tipsy but getting up on a stage and singing is always fun, and the other patrons are up dancing while someone is singing. Would recommend and I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in mcr

Paid five pound to get in and a ten pound minimum spend at the bar and toilets are grim. The staff behind the bar are lovely and quick service at the time I attended. However, I was in the venue for one hour and a quarter and requested three songs, in that time my song was never chosen but watched as newcomers songs were chosen. My friend challenged this twice and then eventually their song got chosen the DJ said ‘your song will be after next.’ So just ended up leaving, will not be attending again.

We tryed to go in here last night, only to be treated terribly by the bouncers, they blocked our way as we tryed to enter,saying where you going looking us up and down, we were 2 couples out to see what Manchester offered, we just walked away, who needs that kind of attitude. The management needs to address this, shocking behaviour to guest's.

Great venue awful bouncers. This place has such a good atmosphere and we usually love it but when we tried to get in last night the security on the door were extremely rude and aggressive for no reason, we weren't too drunk or loud we actually thought he was joking as we was so confused as to why he was being so rude. We were 4 women and he told us we needed to get some self respect. Shocked such a good place has such misogynistic bouncers. Its a shame as we love the bar but we wont be coming back

The doorman (lady and man) 28/11 night they were very disrespectful to me, also my friends mentioned to me that the male doorman is very rude and disrespectful to me and my friends when we visited the venue our previous visit and now I just wanted to point out this situation because no one has done anything, I don't want him to lost his job but I want him to be more friendly when he has to deal with simple problems. I understand that doorman job is hard but I was behaving having correctly and asking a question for him to behave like that.I would like someone to talk to him because it isn't alright for him and when you are dealing with people it might make the connection between your next customer awkward

Arrived at 8pm, supposedly the 'opening' time. Was told by bouncers they weren't opening for another 10mins, and we were made to wait outside in the rain (wouldn't allow us to wait inside on the stairs). There were 27 of us, and after being told again, after 10 minutes that they'd be another 10 minutes, we just walked round the corner to Vina Karaoke Bar which was amazing, great vibes and staff AND free entry. Orchid Lounge missed out on 27 people ready to all pay £5 each entry. Also, won't be coming here again. Will definitely not be recommending to anyone.

DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR. Bouncers are vile bullies. Over 20+ negative reviews about these disgusting men manning this bars door yet nothing seems to happen to them. £5 to enter and was assaulted within 30 mins of being there. Understandably taken outside after I was attacked and when I asked the bouncers whether the lady who assaulted me and my friend is also being removed from the club I was laughed, at teased, and told to go away. Due to poor decisions from the worsts bouncers I’ve ever seen, the violent girl was able to waltz down from the club and attack me again OUTSIDE the club whilst waiting for a taxi oppose to removing her and keeping me safe upstairs like any smart human being would do. Asked to speak to manager after asking the bouncers about 15 times, polite enough and gave me my entry money back but really not good enough that’s there multiple complaints about these men and nothing is happening. UNSAFE BAR.

Bouncers! More like bullies- after been recommended to visit here by another publican we thought the 4 of us would give this place a whirl, it was around 930pm on a Sunday as we walked towards the door the lead female of our group was met with the hand of a very unprofessional doorman almost in her face! Where are you going he screamed at her, in shock she replied well we,d like to come inside, he just stared menacingly looking the 4 of us up and down without uttering a word as if provoking us into an argument, we about turned and told him to stick his bar and walked off, never in my 40 years of socialising have I seen a doorman act in this way towards friendly well dressed 40 somethingsAn absolute disgusting excuse for a man, the management should be ashamed to employ such a low life on the door of their premises where doorstaff are employed to look after the wellbeing of customers not make the feel as welcome as pueb in a tuna sandwichReading the reviews under doorstep it's about time something was done about itNever again would we grace the bar with our presence
