I had a 20 solar panel system generating 8.3KW and Halo were excellent. There was a little delay in the beginning getting things going, but once we got a date in, it was installed quickly. We did have an issue afterwards where the system was generating too much power for the inverter causing it to trip a few times on really sunny days. Halo came back without query and swapped the inverter for a higher power (8KW) one which is now working better. So far I'm happy with the installation and level of aftercare so I would recommend.

Matthew and his team did a great job looking after us after we made the decision to install solar panels and batteries.The 13 panels were installed by Andy & Thomas 4 weeks after our order was placed. They were very friendly and efficient.Matthew & Tommy explained an issue with supply of our original inverter and battery equipment but offered an immediate alternative which was just as good.Our equipment was installed and commissioned by Jim & kenzie just 6 weeks after the solar panels and 3 days after my conversation with Matthew about the alternative equipment.After 4 days of running with no problems I can wholeheartedly recommend Halo Renewables.Great job guys :-)

I used Halo for my solar and battery install earlier this year.Matthew was very helpful and patient in helping us decide what to go for.Jim the electrician was excellent. Did a really neat and tidy job so that the cables were not visible from the front of my house. Very impressed with him.No problems with the install but Tommy in the office was very supportive regardless.

First off a massive thank you to Matt, Tommy and the guys for my Solar and Battery setup. I had been unsuccessful finding a company who could provide a larger install against my own requirements and provide a GIVENERGY solution instead opting to try and force me to use their own easy for them solution. Finally I came across Halo who were listed by GIVENERGY as an advanced installer (they are not wrong!).From the start Matt was able to talk about their panels and the GIVENERGY battery system how it will integrate with my house and deliver exactly what I want from it. The hoped to install soon however COVID got in the way. Frustrating for them as well as me! finally we were good to go but there was a battery config issue due to stock limitations. A good chat with Matt and we were able to make a few changes at the same cost. I then added another battery because it made sense to me to go higher along with adding a Zappi as our EV had arrived early.Once all confirmed it wasn't long before the scaffold went up and Jim and Andrew were on site putting in a long day getting 16 panels up, a full Inverter + 20Kwh battery system installed. I just kept the kettle on the go! On the day there was an issue with the provided Zappi which Jim rejected as it was damaged. Although this was now a delay I am glad he put me first rather than trying to fit a damaged product.Since install there have been no issues but plenty of contact from Matt and team. In March we had some great days and the solar was hitting 7Kwhs often along with the 20Kwh battery keeping us running through the night and providing a buffer for those darker sky moments.I had to wait a few weeks for the Zappi but it came in the end and was quickly installed. Then it was over to Tommy who has worked hard on the DNO and documentation which has been all correct and well received. as soon as I get the DNO approval I will be able to start getting paid for the excess I am putting back into the network during those really good days. As a house that goes over 20Kwhs a day the new 6.4Kwh PV and 20Kwh battery is going to make a huge difference to us along with getting that free electricity into the EV.I am already considering upping the battery and potentially another charge point. I will be using the Halo team again. Solar and Battery installs are a large financial investment so it is important you find the right supplier. I highly recommend Halo to design and deliver the correct solution for you.

Great installation from Matt and the Halo team.A GivEnergy dual battery and inverter solution to supplement my existing PV system. The solution is AC coupled so I can keep my FIT tariff. The work was tidy and accurate, and carried out as soon as the equipment was available.

I have altered this review a few times, initially 5* but then went down to 1* when I felt fobbed off by Halo for 12 months.But to be fair they have come good again.I think part of the issue is that they are so busy, so perhaps someone like me needs to be a bit more patient with them when they aren’t able to respond to me straight away.Overall very good. Matt the MD gave a very competitive quote and the system has been really good. I had Jim and his apprentice McKenzie for install and they have been so professional.

Halo Renewables were the winning bid when it came to installing my solar system back in 2020. They were incredibly helpful during the process and happy to answer many of our questions and queries at every stage. They installed the system quickly and as agreed at the design stage and set the remote connectivity for us to remotely view the production in real-time. The system has been live for over two and half years now and I am happy to say that their promises about post sale service is top notch. They answer queries quickly and advise on future upgrades or deals.Edit: 04/03/2023.I have been trying to arrange a SolarEdge optimiser replacement under warranty with Halo renewables ltd for nearly 6months now but so far only empty promises. It has gone to the point where SolarEdge is chasing me to try and get another installer and organise the part replacement. I will update this review if anything changes but for now, I would avoid if you care about after sale service.

Wow, where do I start? With the many problems Halo have its aftersales that is the biggest, its practically non existent (according to other reviews on the internet I'm not the only one who has encountered this). Sadly this is the 2nd issue I've had with a solar system that was installed in Nov 2022. Because of Halo's poor communication and their lack of aftersales and ergency my issue has been referred to MCS Certification and NAPIT who are currently dealing with it, hopefully this will convince Halo of their responsibility and correct their design issue.Save your money, and more importantly save your sanity.

Tried to tell us we would need MCS Certificate to sell a house with solar panels after we told them we were going with another company.I can't find any information to back up this claim and believe they were scaremongering. Despicable tactics.

Halo supplied and fitted solar panels and batteries on our property for us in August 2022. From first contact, Matthew was approachable and honest and gave sound advice. Their office team completed all relevant paperwork and applied for licenses on our behalf, ensuring the process was hassle free and all regulations were adhered to. When it came to installation, the roofing team and electricians were friendly and efficient and did a great job. The results are fantastic, and we are really pleased with how well both the panels and batteries are performing.I am confident in recommending Halo as providing a great product and strong customer service, and would happily use them for any additional work in the future.
