This is a community owned pub and does everything to deserve your support. Nicely refurbished. The beers are very good and the staff are lovely. If you are planning to eat here you need to check as the kitchen only opens on certain times/ days.

On holiday with my husband we called into the pub for a drink and what a brilliant place and atmosphere. This is a community pub with a real community feel run by the community. Bar is nicely decorated and much bigger on the inside than it looks. There were games available to use but the best part of the night was the singing. A group of people were singing welsh songs through the evening. They were amazing , it was like having a welsh choir in the front room. Absolutely loved our evening at the pub. This is a must visit if you are in the area.

Was lucky enough to be their first guest staying.What can you say other than excellent.Brilliant addition to the peninsulaBedrooms just perfect for a family.Very comfortable beds.Superb continental breakfast.Excellent service from Anna who looked after us.Nice to put the kids to bed then have a pint in the bar.We can highly recommend staying at Yr Heliwr.

Best food we’ve had in a long time. The staff friendly and efficient & a warm and cosy atmosphere. Excellent beer, with examples from the local brewery.We have been told it’s a “community run” pub so hats off to them. Thoroughly recommend.

Brilliant overnight stay!Greeted by very friendly staff late in the evening, who were very quick to help with our needs and show us everything in detail.We stayed as a family of 3 in a room with a private bathroom and bunk beds - all really comfortable and excellent room facilities! Added bonus was the communal kitchen space.All very modern and clean.Continental breakfast included which was very well presented and friendly service.The pub itself had really lovely character and an excellent atmosphere.Only thing to comment is that parking is mostly roadside in the village but wasn't a problem for us. Would recommend to anyone.

Called in a couple of times on the weekend 22nd July, very quiet both times, but it was in the afternoon. Very friendly staff and good beer reasonably priced.

Came across this by chance as we were staying in the next village. All we can say is what a fantastic friendly public house it is, the community spirit of the locals was more than admirable. We felt so at home and welcomed by everyone, wishing the community and pub every success for the future. Excellent.

Called in for a drink great bar and very friendly.Be renovated to a great little bar used to be the sportsman years ago. The change is fantastic.
