My 1st time here but our daughters 4th. (We don't l8ve 8n York unfortunately).All 6 of us enjoyed our food. Really tasty and great choice.Good service and excellent value for money.Would definitely recommend.Merry Christmas and a healthy, prosperous New Year to all the staff.

Extremely well-run little Italian restaurant near the Barbican.Set out exactly as you'd expect, with a concealed view into the kitchen where the chefs beaver away to make cracking food in a short time without fuss. Served by great staff who make sure you are kept happy and content.Clearly owned and run by an Italian family and their close friends.

Visiting York and heard of Totos as a recommendation with it being a family run Italian restaurant. Both myself and my partner felt the service was a bit rushed and the two waiters we had didn't seem to come across as friendly. They did check up on us during our main albeit were nearly finished.We however could not fault the food. The chefs did an amazing job with our meals. We had a lovely garlic pizza bread to share that was just the right amount of garlic. The two mains were a bolognese pizza and risotto marinara which was very authentic. Ending on the classic tiramisu which was strong.While the decor was nice I believe it would have been much better when it gets darker outside to get that nice atmosphere.All in all, food brings the rating up while service brings it down.

Just had the most fantastic meal here. We hadn't booked, but they managed to find us a table on a busy Friday evening.The food was excellent, and the service was so friendly and efficient.

Everything about our meal was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I had a chicken special which was cooked to perfection and the tiramisu was the best I've ever had.The only problem was that we forgot to tip which gives us a good excuse to return as quickly possible.

Amazing every time! We are local and this is our favourite place to come. The staff are extremely welcoming and attentive and genuinely care about your experience. The food is the best around, quality, homemade and fresh. We always look forward to visiting!
