The Highland Shooting Centre

5 Star Experience. My wife and I came here recently for a several hour clay pigeon shooting experience. Marcus provided lessons for both of us, my wife was a first time shooter and he taught her in a way that she was comfortable, and had a lot of fun, and ended up breaking a lot of targets. She can't wait to go shooting again and I think that is mostly because of Marcus, and his care for his customers, and patient and fun way of teaching. The facility was one of the best I have ever been to, and matched with the personalized care of the owner, you will have a great experience here, as we did! Thank you Marcus and HSC.

Marcus and his family provide top notch shooting experiences for those visiting Sutherland. They have an excellent rifle range and also some very exciting clay targets.

Incredible experience! Me and boyfriend visited here whilst touring the Scottish highlands, we were booked in for the hour long beginners experienced as neither of us had shot before. Upon arrival both Marcus and his wife were so welcoming and their building designs were stunning and a great space for Marcus to teach us the basics for our gun stance. The whole team done a fantastic job of going above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience. We highly recommend this centre and are disappointed it is so far away from home for us otherwise we would definitely be back again.

We came here relatively spontaneously for a clay target lesson. The Highland Shooting Centre describes itself as a family run business" and it truly is. We received an incredibly warm welcome from Marcus and his wife (and dog)

We went for a shooting lesson with Marcus and his son Hamish. Brilliant experience learning from 2 British champions! Thoroughly recommend to all levels, we were very much beginners and Hamish was patient and encouraging. This was one of the highlights of our week!

SUPERB! Here for a birthday experience with someone who had never fired a gun before. We were made so welcome, The Scottish Rugby game was on in the afternoon, we managed to get an hour and a half in then took a break to watch the rugby before further shooting into the early evening. The hospitality was beyond expectation. The events on offer were absolutely perfect for beginners. 10/10 / 5* / Best views and even a place to stay should you wish to enjoy an overnight or a week away.Worth every penny and the hosts (Marcus & Jen) were amazing :)

Joan and I stayed in Jennifer and Marcus’ wonderful log cabin for 9 nights in August. This was a superb stay. The couple were perfect hosts, providing great ideas on places to visit and things to do, as well as wonderful places for coffee and to eat. Jennifer provided a lovely and really useful hamper of food for us on arrival - we’d also shopped at M&S prior to our visit as we cooked here frequently. The Pier in Lairg and the Invercassley Tea Rooms another. The property is truly in the highlands amidst gorgeous scenery and it is ideally placed to visit the North Coast, the Dornoch Firth and its great golf courses, plus some wonderful walks. It amazed us how easy it was to reach the west coast from here. For any shooting or fishing enthusiasts, this would be a prime location to stay.If staying here, drive to ‘the Highland Shooting Center in Google maps - easy.
