Summoned to court for unpaid council tax" added a shambolic £80 penalty on top of what was £110 unpaid council tax (nearly double it's worth). To then be apologised to in court and told it was incorrect and I didn't owe any council tax. To now being told it will be taken straight from my funds without a letter or phone call to discuss the issue at hand. Vile

Received a final council tax bill for a property that I sold over seven years ago. Trying to call them to inform them I am not the owner but the phone line doesn’t go through to anyone.Finally got through to someone after an hour who wasn’t helpful in the slightest, I asked her if I could speak to her manager she connected me to customer feedback.It seems the council doesn’t care about having so many one stars anyways. The most shocking council, they need to seriously review the customer service they provide.

Where to start?Their phone system is appalling, lengthily and unnecessary introductions on your phone menu, please stop saying W W W" like we're 5. Check your system after recording as some speech is broken up and no its not my phone.Webiste - Still looks like it was designed in the 90's. Lots of broken links

I reported a week ago that rats are chewing through the wires in my car its happened twice its a 23 plate natalia hurditt says nothing will be done about the rats park at your own risk . What does the council tax pay for even the property not up to standard . I still haven't received a reply to my emails .I couldn't care if this building fell down but I do I do are about the car sandwell council should be privatised

Completely useless telephone service regarding council tax.Impossible to speak with anyone regarding demanding letter sent regarding unpaid council tax and threating to add £79.50 court fees.Never received any bill for the said property, tried their uselessonline service and it would not recognise the details on the letter they sent.Its seem all their employees that should be in the council tax office are still hiding at home watching daytime tv under the excuse of Covid not at the end of a phone line where they should be.

This council tax service's communication is abysmal. There's a complete absence of email contact, and their phone service is a never-ending loop of automated messages, ensuring you can never reach a human being. The online portal, as if following the trend, offers only a fraction of what you actually need. This has been a nightmarish experience, and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. It's mind-boggling how they can operate in this manner. Zero stars, for zero effort and zero care for their customers.

Stayed at home today waiting for a repair on an external wall. As usual the council didn't turn up and couldn't be bothered to let us know. What on earth are we paying rent for? Absolute shambles regarding repairs/maintenance to your own housing stock.

What I don’t understand is that, you keep sending unreasonable letters, and asks us to call if we want to discuss but the stupid machine keep hanging up on us. So how we going to discuss then? The options are limited and eventually just hangs up on us. You have no right to sending notices if you are not willing to discuss with the person, that’s not fair.

The worst council I've ever had to work with. Phone lines are a maze of automated services & if you do finally manage to get through to someone, you'll be lucky if they can help you. They also change their emails without any notice & the emails sent don't bounce back" to give you an inkling they've not been received."

I left Sandwell Council and I want to tell them not to waste time sending me a council tax bill, but no one answers their phone. You listen to some silly instructions from an answering machine which have nothing to do with what you want to talk about. The worst thing is that it cuts you off instead of sending you to a human agent. Also, their 'my account' is useless as it prejudges that you want to say something that you don't want to say. I want to tell them that I no longer live at the address they are sending tax bills to but I don't know how since they don't answer their phones. I'm glad I no longer live in Sandwell. It's the worst local authority I have ever lived in, in terms of incompetence. I would have given them zero if it was available. I can't even send them an email as they don't have any.
