Fantastic stay as always. Great food, great landlord and landlady. Well worth a visit and stop over. Very interesting historic pub. Great evening food and massive breakfast!

An old country Inn, supposedly haunted, but worth seeing for its character and charm. The food was prepared to order and worth the wait. Good food, nice setting and busy too.

The Devil's Stone Inn
Everything you could want from a country pub! A lovely warm welcome from the landlord and landlady who took time to chat to us even though they were busy, a pretty beer garden with a lovely view and delicious food with generous proportions. Last but not least visits from the gorgeous dog Tommy and cat Lily made our visit complete. We live a few miles away and cannot wait to return soon.

Good food and lovely friendly service.We had beef brisket chili, lamb burger and the pie of the day.Really enjoyed it.'Local' pub atmosphere - but in no way feels like it's 'just for locals', very welcoming.Would happily come back for a meal and a drink!

Beautiful little village pub (which was super busy on a Monday, that’s always a great sign!) with excellent food and from what we could gather, very friendly owners. The wait staff were energetic and talkative and very apologetic for what they said was a wait for food (we didn’t even really notice, it wasn’t long at all) Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through as it was comparatively inexpensive and genuinely friendly.

Fantastic Sunday roast,big portions but well worth the money,my only slight criticism was I had the beef and it was slightly too pink for me albeit I could have asked for it to be cooked a bit longer it was still lovely

Great local pub. Top notch ale and food. We had an unexpected stop over and the landlady very kindly fed our hounds as we'd no food and the local shops were shut. Not only that, she made sure we left with breakfast for them too. You don't get this kind of service in most boozers. We were chuffed and the dogs gave a round of ap-paws. Sorry.

Great traditional pub with restaurant and accommodation. Eat here on a Monday evening in June. It was quite busy for a Monday which shows it’s popularity. Good value traditional pub menu with locally sourced ingredients are served in the bar, garden or restaurant. The food is cooked well and excellently presented. Dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The landlord and landlady were very welcoming and friendly as were all of the staff team. The food was superb with generous portions and was homemade. The atmosphere was great, the locals were accepting and the band on Saturday night was good too.
