We eat out most Sundays, if we can. Trying different places. This is hands down THE best roast, we've eaten for years. It needs to be better than I can cook at home, and this was outstanding. Everything was cooked to perfection, thick tasty Gravy, really cheesey Cauliflower cheese, crisp fresh roasters, 4 meats to choose from including a trio of meats option. This is now the only place we could possibly go for a roast, everywhere else just pales. It's by the river, and lovely in the summer.great choice of ciders.Brilliant

Great place for a quick lunch time drink on a Sunday whilst out for a walk - stone floor which was great and also seating area outside (covered) which was great as we only had a drink - been passed this pub on lots of occasions but great to actually go in and support the local economy!! Reasonable prices for soft drinks which makes a change

This isn’t my first visit but it is my first review of this place. Stopped here with a group of friends after the Bath Two Tunnels 10k and it didn’t disappoint. There were plenty of Sunday roast options including a gorgeous vegan mushroom and leek pie served with a nice selection of veg including roast potatoes. I will definitely be back for food again.

I am the first to accept that we were way too early for our booked inside table. So we ate outside in the marquee. Quantity was more than sufficient. Much of the food was lukewarm at best: the potatoes so crispy as to be almost inedible: I understand costs are higher in the city and I would not say it was value for money. Judging by the amount of water we have drunk since being home I would suggest: less salt:smaller portions: food that is hot!

Fine location with a large table area fronting the river. Beer was good, food so so. Good quality whitebait but small portion size. Average nacho's.

This pub is in a great location by the river with a marquee for outside gatherings, however there is no disabled loo so we used the pub next door and felt obliged to have a drink there which took us away from our own gathering. It would be good if they had an arrangement with the next door pub as their own facilities are limited. The ladies toilets were really dirty. Food was good but I'm not sure I would trust the kitchen hygiene when the bathroom hygiene was so poor.

Went here for a roast on the previous Sunday, I’ve never been here before but family had been. The scenery was beautiful! The pub was very cute and cosy, was starting to pick up the longer we were here. The food was lovely, different meats to choose from but what let it down a little was that it came out barely warm which was a little disappointing. Had good vegetarian options also. The service was ok but nothing exceptional. Would be willing to try again though! Great views and surrounded by cute doggos!

It was okay and Daniel the proprietor or manager?? was helpful. Inside the pub was rather scruffy and the outdoor seating area by the River Avon didn't bear much resemblance to the pub's online photo gallery. The food was good and good value for money but the pub didn't offer any desserts! Shortage of staff apparently. You had to pay upfront and help yourself to cutlery, napkins and condiments.

Really nice traditional pub. You can sit outside.I'm not sure if they serve food, but the pub/bistro place next door do.Small inside and no changing facilities for babies.Really nice pub for a quiet drink with mates. Plenty of parking too.

Great food, great prices, friendly service and absolutely loved the playlist! Pleased they are dog friendly (although we didn't have ours with us today).
