Poor service bad attide 5 jorneys today last journey made me decide not use this company again

Having been let down several times recently by several taxi firms including Uber, I was a little reticent using a firm I didn't know being an 'out of towner' I rang Southside to take me and my parents to and from an event at Motorpoint Arena for a 60th Anniversary gift. Thank you to Rachael, and our wonderful driver, a friendly, helpful and professional service from collection to return. 5* and other lesser firms should take notice of how to do it properly! Bloody nice car too. Thank you for helping make our night that bit more special, stress free and for delivering on your promise!

Booked a taxi a couple of hours in advance and they left me waiting even when they were informed I had children to get home to. What is the point in pre booking if you are not going to send a taxi?

I have used this company a lot in the past couple of months but the last four times I have used them they have been hit or miss. I usually schedule a pick up a day or so before only to be called at the time they are supposed to pick me up to say they are running late. Usually because they are stuck at the airport again and again. Once I was told there would be no drivers as the person who was due to pick me up was sick and all other drivers were stuck at the airport again or far away from my address and to find another taxi company even though I was due at work in ten minutes. I understand that things happen but instead of calling me on the time they are supposed to pick me up call me once you know that you have to cancel so I can try and arrange other transport in time so I can hopefully not be late for work

Just want to say thank you for our recent airport taxis. We had Orville both journeys and he is an absolute joy. He got our holiday off to a great start and he was there when we got home. I will always ask for him as he is a lovely man. However I have always had a great service from your company so well done!

Booked a transfer from East Midlands airport weeks in adance, left us waiting for 30 mins in the early hours of the morning. Terrible service would not recommend.

19 of us needed taxi service when staying in East Leake for a hen do, the staff answering the phones in the office were so helpful when arranging our taxis, so kind and friendly too, as were the taxi drivers! Would not hesitate to recommend, thank you again for all your help!!

Booked taxi for specific time in the morning. Rang up when it was late to be told that taxis don’t turn up when booked but when available. I was on a course and allowed 20 minutes for a five minute journey but was told if I have a set appointment I should have made them aware. Everyone insists this is standard procedure. Why bother booking a time then? Terrible service will not be booking a journey with them again. I cancelled all cars I had booked for other days/times. But I was charged for all 3 journeys despite never getting in the car. I have made 9 phone calls and written 2 emails chasing a refund. I’m still awaiting confirmation that the money has been sent to my bank. - no apology at all but the cheek to ask me to delete my review.

Southside cars have done me no wrong so far. Maybe a mishap here or there, but they always come through and are always polite. Great service so far using them since moving to Clifton 3 months agoEdit: Had to bump this down to a 4 star. There have been some drivers who just shouldn't really be taxi drivers. Like being in their phone when picking people up, using their phones whilst driving, asking for which directions even though they have GPS, some other stuff. I usually get some decent people, but there at least 3 I've had a bad time with.
