We had a great time away in the van which we hired from West Country VW Campervans.All the equipment you would need was included.Lucy was brilliant in showing us how to safely set up the bed and awning and turning on the gas etc.Fred II was great to drive and easy to set up once we arrived at our destination and we knew Lucy and Chris were only a phone call away if we had any problems.A perfect way to try out a campervan before buying – we are hooked.Thanks to Lucy and Chris for the use of Fred. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous trip. The camper was beautifully presented and well kitted out. The booking and return process was seamless and we were kept informed throughout the process. Jo is a real pleasure to deal with and I would strongly recommend their service to anybody that wants to dip their toe into the campervan world.

We had a great week away touring the Devon Coast in Fred and Arthur in August 2022. Jo and Roger were very helpful at all stages from initial enquiry, booking, payment and showing us how everything worked when we picked up the Van's. Both Van's are comfortable and well equipped with everything you need for a weeks holiday. Watching the videos on the website a few times helped to ensure we knew exactly what to expect before the pick up. The vans are based in Somerton in Somerset which gives easy access to Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. If you are thinking about maybe buying and camper van or holidaying in one for the first time, West Country Camper Hire are a great place to start.

This was our first campervan holiday experience and, thanks to Jo and Roger (and Fred), we had an amazing time! Fred was really the star of the show. He is stylish & smart.Fred contained everything we needed for a comfortable holiday and Jo & Roger couldn't have been more helpful with making sure that we were happy with everything before we set off. We were really impressed with the solar power, as we were off grid for 4 days, and everything worked well.I would really recommend this to newbies like us!

My wife and I hired Arthur for a Long weekend as a try before we buy. Lucy and Chris were absolutely brilliant throughout. The information about how to use everything was detailed but not overwhelming. The use of videos ( all backed up with a comprehensive hand book in the van) made Getting “ acquainted “ before the hire started much simpler. There was nothing more we could have asked for, they had thought of everything. When we returned Arthur the hand over was again very friendly and efficient and we the security deposit was back in our account very promptly. Would throughly recommend Lucy & Chris ( and Arthur)without hesitation

Jo and Roger offered excellent service and their vans are great! It was all very well organised and we were confident throughout our trip that we could contact them for help if needed (which we didn't). We had a holiday with two adults and two children (5 and 3) and the vans were ideal and easy to set up. We had two car seats which Roger helped us install which was appreciated. Definitely recommend them and we will want to use them again for sure.

This was my first experience of holidaying in a Campervan and Jo & Roger were most helpful in responding to my questions prior to my holiday. I hired Arthur" for 10 days in mid Sept 2021 and I was extremely lucky with some late summer weather. I stayed at 3 separate campsites and really enjoyed the freedom that this type of holiday offers."Arthur" was fully kitted out with just about everything you could possibly need for a holiday on the road

We had a wonderful holiday in Fred. We travelled all around Wales, myself, my husband and our dog. Fred was comfortable, warm and well equipped. We wanted for nothing except maybe some sunshine. The whole experience was made easy and exciting with the help and assistance of Lucy and Chris. This was our first time in a campervan but we felt well prepared after watching the YouTube videos Lucy sent us and the patient explanations and demonstrations from both Lucy and Chris.
