Visited for one of the Christmas fairs pre-covid which I felt was better than the most recent one but glad it survived the pandemic and there was still lots of pretty things. :)

There is a four day exhibition on of the work that is done in the individual studios .The quality of which is fabulous . I'm particularly interested in jewellry there are many great unusual designs with the owners explaining there work designs. Some beautiful textiles and paintings. This is a gem of a place in the centre of Leith to visit if you want to purchase a quality individual gift for chritmas or if your looking to get something commissioned. Only negative with all the road traffic changes you will need to be patient to find the place .I would personally take a bus .

We had the pleasure of visiting Coburg House Art Studios and it was a fantastic experience. The community of artists working there were very welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed seeing the diverse range of art on display. It was very inspiring!

Very small front shop. No intro on what it is all about. An excellent exhibition was on running by Wayne Anthony. My review is not about the Artists, but it rather relates to how the space is arranged and how the visitors experience the space.

Coburg house is a wee gem. Many struggling artists were trying to find somewhere to work and study and had trouble trying to find somewhere affordable and suitable to their situation.The proprietor had the courage and foresight to take over a large building and divide it up into affordable studio's to rent out to these budding artists. In the foyer is a place for them to display their work and 'Open Days' attract very large crowds of visitors.Many of these artists have found fame through Coburg house and the proprietor, John Gibson must be applauded for giving these artists a chance to blossom.

Lovely artists' studios. They have open days every now and again and it's a great opportunity to meet the makers and buy some unique, locally produced art. There's jewellers, printmakers and textile artists - something for everyone!

Open Studio event is twice a year .. 50 or so studios on 4 floors with 2 places for tea and cake. Allow 2 hours to appreciate it ..
