I want to thank Dr Colin Clark, Cath Christie and Tricia Wilson from dermatology for the first class care I got with getting a lump from the back of my hand removed, Cath has mastered perfection at giving the numbing injection never felt a thing, both Tricia and Cath were very caring I was well looked after thank you

This isn't my first really disappointing experience with this hospital. They treated my dad like an animal and it wasn't much better this time round. My friend was literally handed her medical form and chucked (not literally) out the door and honestly vets show more compassion than this lot in this hospital. If you ask any nurse for a simple cup of water or need the toilet then it's tough luck. Just wet yourself or drink your own saliva cause that's the best you get. If it was only one time then I'd put it down to one bad experience but sadly its numerous times so no excuse other than poor training and poor bedside manner and just general care sucks.

Nurses in the hdu and icu were absolutely phenomenal and lovely. However, in ward 21 its like none of them wanted to be there or cared for their patients at all

I made a call and the staff were rude they were not helpful at all. As I was in the middle of explaining my situation they just told me to phone back on another day and hung the phone up on me. Every NHS hospital and doctors in Glasgow need to change their receptionists or put them through some sort of training because the way they speak to patients is absolutely atrocious.

I had a natural birth at Maternity in April. Everyone from the doctors, nurses, midwives to the reception staff are absolutely amazing. The care I received during my pregnancy and delivery was exceptional. There are simply no words to describe how knowledgeable, friendly and professional everyone is. I am very grateful to all of the staff at Maternity RAH. Thank you to everyone:-)

The care I’ve recieved during problems I’ve had with my kidneys has been horrendous. The wait times and lack of communication between dr’s is terrible … basically left in pain and to suffer and just sit on brick hard chairs for hours

I was in A&E from 1pm till 8.30pm. During this time i only managed to get through Triage, and get blood and heart tests done, could not see a doctor as they were too busy and kept getting told there's 3 people in front of you, but 3 hours later there's another 3 people. Eventually i left, i had enough. While i waited to be seen by a doctor, 6 other people also left due to waiting times being 8 hours just to see a doctor, this is not acceptable. I understand there is a staff shortage there but it does not help some of the nurses work extremely hard and try their best while some other nurses walk about on their phones, crack jokes and hardly work. Clearly the standards are pretty low and management are not doing a great job. Speaking to nurses there, you can tell they are tired, tired of over working and dealing with people waiting 9-12 hours to see a doctor but what does not help is the stinking attitude of some of the nurses. You work in a hospital, sitting on your desk on the phone while a patient is asking questions is not acceptable. There is a lack of professionalism, lack of empathy towards patients and lack of urgency. I have been in hospitals in Easter Europe and have been seen quicker and more friendly nurses / doctors. It's a shame what RAH has become. I have never witnessed anything like this in UK before. The hospital either needs shut down or a complete overhaul especially at the top and new standards need to be set as well as nurses re trained on how to deal with sick patients. To them you're just another body, whether you're dead or alive, they do not care.
