Booked for a large party of 19 last minute and they accommodated us amazingly. Such lovely staff that can’t do enough for you. Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve ever had. Amazing place. Highly recommend

Lovely food, freshly cooked with a creative and diverse menu. Our waitress was friendly and efficient but service was quite slow despite there being few customers when we were there. The tables are quite crammed. It's a difficult balance between creating easy flow for table service, as many covers as possible for the success of the business, and customer comfort.

Expectations were high before our visit. Loads of choice for pies, unfortunately only on a ThursdayBooked a table but had to eat in a cramped area away from the main dining area as we had the dog with us, so it's not exactly a very dog friendly establishment.Had the scampi, which was tasty, but peas were hard, so they were undercooked. A bowl of chips between 4 were hard and overcooked

Amazing countryside views! Outside was so peaceful at lunchtime...Seemed like a nice independent pub- not ran by a chain.Food was very good- tried one of the 3 pies on the menu (although the chalkboard advertised many many pies for Pie Night which looked impressive but was a different day)Had a kids menu which was good.Service was order at the bar, could put on a tab and was quick to go up and pay.Only improvement could be toilets could do with being a bit cleaner.

Lovely country pub, been several times on a Thursday for pie night. They have a massive selection of pies with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options too. Great value meal for a pie, chips and mixed veg all for just £9! No wonder it is so busy. Would definitely recommend booking to guarantee a table as not a lot of room for walk ins. Lovely friendly staff too, nothing is too much trouble.

Popped in for Sunday lunch. We had not booked but they fitted us in. Would advise to book as it is very popular.My wife has roast beef and veg, good value for money. Good sized portion.I had a burger with bbq pulled pork and chips again tasted great and great value for money.Good pint of Pedigree.Will be back to try the pie evening.

Food was nice, service was awful. Wrong items brought, waitress did not listen to order properly, they forgot to bring out one of the dishes. The waitress was made aware of one of our parties food allergy and did not pass this info on to the kitchen. Waitress didn't even know what beer was served at the bar, when asked just said I don't really know but did not go and check. Shame really because when the food was excellent when it arrived but would not return due to the awful service.

Excellent steak night last night. 8oz rump, chips, homemade onion rings, mushrooms, tomato & peas all for just £11. Tasted amazing & a very generous portion. Service was very good too. I can definitely recommend.

Brilliant out of the way country pub. Went for Sunday Lunch, had to book understandably. Lovely food and with a couple of tweaks the roasts could be made gluten free. Young staff who seemed to have a handle on things. Gents toilets could do with a bit of TLC but not going to knock a star off for that! Definitely returning. M

Excellent food, my wife & I have dined here 5 times this week & will have our final meals tonight as we will be going home tomorrow. We have had a wide selection of food Steaks, Tapas, Pies, Burgers Gammon to name a few. All of a high standard. The staff are very friendly & it's a lovely local pub. Best to book to avoid disappointment it has been busy all week
